Obituary Mr. Ernest Campbell (aka Earnest Campbell), 89, of Hubbard transitioned to eternal peace on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Campbell was born August 6, 1934 in Ramer, Tennessee, a son of Uther and Mary O. Burns Campbell. He was a graduate of McNairy High School. Ernest had worked for 36 years at Valley Mold & Iron in Hubbard, retiring in 1985. He had also been employed with North Star Steel. Ernest was a member of McGuffey Road Church of Christ, its Trustee and Leadership Ministries. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Youngstown Men's Bowling Association, Director of Ebony Knights and Bellwick Bowling Leagues, and several other leagues. He also enjoyed fishing, mechanical work and was a Baltimore Ravens fan. Ernest was a U. S. Army veteran. He leaves to mourn his passing, but to rejoice in his eternal peace, his wife, the former Eva J. Brandon, whom he married August 15, 1992; four children, Ronald (Candy) Campbell and Erick Jackson both of Youngstown, Andrea "Angie" Carter of Hubbard, and Jennifer (D. Marquis Reynolds) Jackson of Boardman; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, church family and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Leola Hendrix Campbell; a son, Kenneth Jackson; siblings, Helen (Willie) Cozart, Curtis (Pecolia) Campbell, Joseph (Vivian) Campbell, Eugene (Stella) Campbell, Ida (Bill) Jarvie and Kendall (Julianna) Campbell. Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2023 from 11:00 a. m. - 12:00 p. m. at the McGuffey Road Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon. LIBERTY TOWNSHIP - Dalia Clemen, 82, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 4, 2023, at Briarfield Manor. Dalia was born December 3, 1941, in Trieste, Italy, a daughter of the late Daniel and Romilda Clemen, and came to the United States and the Youngstown area as a child. She attended the University of Akron and continued her education at Youngstown State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in counseling. Miss Clemen was a member of St. Columba Cathedral. She enjoyed visiting the Jewish Community Center, traveling and going out to eat. Dalia leaves to cherish her memory, her loving, extended family members, including Lydia (Dean) Traficant and family, Patricia (Joe) Humenick and family, Ludovico Centofanti, Paul Leombruni and Paola Angelone and special friends, Charlotte Dercoli, and Sister Regina Oliva. Her step mother, Assunta Centofanti Clemen, and two step sisters, Amelia Leombruni and Lina Centofanti preceded Dalia in death. Per Dalia's request there are no calling hours. Geraldine Kravec

AUSTINTOWN - Geraldine A. Kravec, 84, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, December 7, 2023, at Omni Manor. Geraldine who was affectionately known as Gerry was born May 3, 1939, in Smock, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John and Margaret Stefanko Bata, and came to the Youngstown area in 1956. She was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years until retiring in 2001. Mrs. Kravec was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. She enjoyed playing golf, shopping, socializing with her club ladies and Friday night dinner group. Gerry also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida, making new friends and being active in her community. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Gerry leaves to forever cherish her memory her four children, Larry Kravec of Mineral Ridge, Edward Kravec of Austintown, Linda Kolasky of Austintown and John Kravec of Tarpon Springs, Florida; seven grandchildren, Larry, Lynsey, Joe, Jennifer, John, Hannah and Haley; a great grandchild, Piper; two sisters, Jeannette (Gerald) Bernard of Youngstown and Dorothy (Tony) Trimacco of Deerfield Beach, Florida; a brother, Thomas (Sue) Bata of Lake Milton and many extended family members. Her husband of 62 years, Edward L. Kravec, whom she married May 31, 1958 passed away July 21, 2020. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p. m. on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd. , Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a. m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church 4545 New Rd. , Austintown. On Monday, November 27, 2023, Tammy Jane Haag passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous two and 1/2 year battle with glioblastoma. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on August 23, 1963, to Clayton Leroy Parliament and Betty Jo (Camp) Lewis. Tammy was a graduate of Columbiana High School and was employed as a paraprofessional in the public school system. She was very talented person who endeavored to keep herself busy with crafts, crocheting, knitting and quilting. In their free time, Tammy and her husband George loved to travel in their camper. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Terri Lewis. She is survived by her husband George Haag; children, Austin (Erika) Haag of Canfield, Rebecca (Justin) Baker of North Lima, Kristin Haag of Livonia, Michigan; her parents, Betty Jo and Ralph Lewis; seven grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca (Todd) Barnes, Kimberly Roberts, Carol (John) Hill; brothers, Dan(Amy) Parliament, Jeff Lewis, and Ralph Lewis. CORTLAND - D. Diane Gold, 76, passed away Friday December 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital following a lengthy illness. Diane was born August 21, 1947, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Virl Kooser and Jean Kifer Kooser and came to the Girard area in 1965 after she married her high school sweetheart, Jay Gilbert. She was a 1965 graduate of Somerset High School and worked as the office manager at Rubenstein and Associates. Diane also worked as an assistant for Corydon Palmer Dental Society before she retired in 2017. Diane enjoyed traveling, attending concerts, visiting the casino and going to various purse bingo events held throughout the area. Most of all, Diane enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Lisa (Rich) Conklin of Howland and Jackie (Jeff) Cowles of Mineral Ridge; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Erica) Gilbert, Tyler Cowles, Zackery Conklin, Nicholas Conklin, Brock Cowles, Riley Cowles and Delaney Cowles; five great grandchildren, Xavier, Kiley, Hunter and Lucy Gilbert and Norah Cowles; her brother, John (Linda) Kooser of Hermitage and many nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Gold III, her first husband and father of her children, Jay Gilbert and a sister, Debra O'Brien. Per Diane's request there are no calling hours. A private celebration of life will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage. Alan C. Reid Jr, 55 of Youngstown Ohio, made his transition from his life on Wednesday November 29th, 2023. He was born September 11th, 1968 to Alan C. Reid Sr and Patricia J. Anderson Reid in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from The Rayen High School in 1986. He also attended Cleveland State University. He worked at Mercy Health Hospital and counseled people with drug related problems. He spoke at numerous events throughout the county. He also loved football and basketball and was a part of the 1984-1985 State Championship Team at The Rayen High School. Alan was also a Music Lover and Avid Funkadelic Fan. He leaves to cherish his loving mother Patricia J. Anderson Reid and son Anthony Ckealan Reid of Youngstown, Ohio. Also, two aunts Denise "Dee Dee" Hill, JacQueline 'Jackie" Taylor, his uncles John (Jackie) Haywood, Joseph (Joey) Reid of Youngstown, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father Alan C. Mr. Elmer James Morris 88, of Youngstown, Ohio, transitioned to eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Mr. Morris was born September 15, 1935, in Harlan, KY the son of James Morris and Anna Ellis and reared by grandparents Barney and Annie Ellis. He went to Rosewald High School, and joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was honorable discharged and came back to Youngstown to work for "Steel City Milling" driving trucks after retiring, he went on to work 20 more years at Remco Security. He loved Bingo, dancing, and sports. He fried the best fish and made the best Chocolate cakes, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Stephanie Smith of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Rodney (Jonnie) Smith of Austintown and Timothy Smith of Detroit, MI; his great grandchildren, Nicholas (Mely) Godoy and Nya Smith; Two great- great granddaughters, Salenia and Zoey; his cousins, Oscar Thomas and Jimmy (Cynthia) Ellis; two special children, Larry and Deborah Johnson and a host of other family and friends. Dolores Campbell

Age - 87

KENT - Dolores Jean Campbell, 87 formerly of Youngstown's west side, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, December 2, 2023, at the home of her youngest daughter, Noreen, where she had lived for the past nine years. Dolores was born June 20, 1936, in Youngstown, the second daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Jakupcin Serenko, and lived most of her life in the area. She completed elementary school at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School on the west side of Youngstown and was a 1954 graduate of Chaney High School. After high school, Dolores worked as a legal secretary for Rendinelli, Powers, and Powers. It was there that she met her husband-to-be, Edwin B. Campbell. On May 9, 1959, Edwin and Dolores were married in Holy Name of Jesus Church. Together, they built their home on the west side of Youngstown and raised their family. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated her life to caring for her family. Once her girls were grown, Dolores worked part-time sampling products at local grocery stores and big box stores. She truly enjoyed meeting with the public and interacting and talking with the shoppers. Mrs. Campbell was an active member of St. Brendan Church where she served as the co-chairman of the Cake Booth at the annual parish festival. Dolores was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and in her younger days, she volunteered at St. Brendan School in the Home and School Association. Dolores was also a lifetime member of Zenska Jednota, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Dolores was very active in her children's lives and could be regularly seen riding bicycles with her girls and their friends all around the west side, and during the winter months, she would join her girls and their friends ice skating in Mill Creek Park. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop leader and took her girls camping and on many field trips with the Girl Scout Organization. Dolores enjoyed volunteering her time for the American Cancer Society and singing with the Youngstown Women's Choir which performed many local concerts throughout the area, especially during the holiday season. Dolores leaves to forever cherish her memory her three daughters, Sharon Bellinger and her husband, Brett of Windsor, CT. , Brenda Campbell of Youngstown, and Noreen Heltzel and her husband, Christopher of Kent; four grandsons, Brenden Bellinger, Travis Heltzel, Will (Makia) Heltzel, and Mario (Jenna) Heltzel; three great-granddaughters, Zyia, Zariana, and Zoey; a great-grandson, Edwin and many loving nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Dolores will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her husband of 59 years, Edwin B. Campbell, passed away on November 21, 2018. A sister Gertrude "Trudy" Quinby, brothers in law, Dave Quinby, Daniel English, Steve Schlosser, and Anthony "Tony" Carrera, sisters in law, Marie English, Elizabeth "Betty" Schlosser and Ellemae Carrera, two nephews, Robert and Jerry Schlosser and a niece Janet Zielinski preceded Dolores in death. Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p. m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd. , Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a. m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11 a. m. at St. Brendan Church Oakwood Ave. , Youngstown. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown where Dolores will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. NEW WATERFORD - Mary L. Jackson, 68, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, December 5, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with her family by her side. Mary was born November 10, 1955, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Elmer Bable and Virginia Zack Bable and was a lifelong Ohio resident. She dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family and held various jobs throughout the area. She enjoyed painting, sewing, watching birds and tending to her house plants. William "Bill" Haines, age 75, of Youngstown, OH, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born on December 14, 1947, in Youngstown to William Jennings and Ruth Cora (Suite) Haines. Bill was a loving father, devoted grandfather, and a compassionate individual who always lent a helping hand to those in need. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Paje, son Rick, granddaughter Kalynn, and his numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong sense of duty and honor. After his military service, Bill embarked on a successful career at General Motors in Lordstown, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment. His contributions to the company were highly valued, earning him many awards, and he retired with a sense of accomplishment. In his free time, Bill enjoyed pursuing his hobbies of hunting and fishing. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and find solace in the great outdoors. Much to the delight of his family, he was also a very talented chef, learning new recipes and creating his own. He enjoyed cooking immensely, and would pass on his knowledge to family and friends. His passion for these pursuits brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be announced at a later date. In honoring his memory, let us remember his selflessness, his love for his family, and his dedication to his country.
