Eris Becker Obituary

Eris Minnie Seelig Becker, 98, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday , September 9, 2023 at Calder Woods Nursing Home in Beaumont. She was born on October 30, 1924 in Thorndale, Texas to Frederick August Otto Seelig and Antonie Meta Dornbusch Seelig. Eris was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and devoted homemaker in raising her family along with her husband, Herbert. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur. Eris was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Clara Niemtschk; her two brothers, Felton and Lawrence Seelig; her husband, Herbert W. Becker and her son, Ronnie Becker. She is survived by her two daughters, Christie LeJune and husband Todd of Fannett, Jennifer Lenz and husband Marty of Sugarland; her son, Dennis Becker and wife Dawn of Port Neches. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Brett Becker, Ethan Becker, Aubry LeJune, Jonathan Lenz and Christopher Lenz along with her six greatgrandchildren, Elena, Cameron, Savannah, Grace, Magnolia and Trace. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Eris's life will be at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
