William J Tobin passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 in Melville NY. William was born February 3, 1930 to William and Katherine (Hollahan) Tobin in Brooklyn New York. He studied at Saint Mary's Seminary in North East PA during his high school years. He then proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Following an honorable discharge he worked at NY Telephone company for 38 years. Bill enjoyed gardening, spending time with family but mostly being with his wife of 65 years, Julia. They were truly an example of love and devotion to the very end. He is survived by Julia, sons Thomas (Lynne) Terence (Laurie) William (Janelyn) and daughters Mary Serra (John) and Jean McDermott (John). He also enjoyed his nine grandchildren and two great children. Bill was predeceased by his beloved brother John of Pittsburgh PA and grand daughter Jennifer Tobin.Show more

Born 7/30/39 - Deceased Nov 28, 2023 Our beloved Kathy passed at the age of 84 on November 28 after succumbing to an aggressive cancer and died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her husband and surviving children. Kathleen has joined her loving son, Michael who passed in 2010 and leaves behind her ever loving husband Ron Weisbrod, her adoring children Ron and Valerie, loving Daughter in law Lori, seven beloved grandchildren, RJ, Jaclyn, Christopher, Zachary, Jamie, Marisa and Matthew and great grandchild Ronnie. Kathy will forever be remembered with only fond memories as everyone who met her was drawn to her good natured ways and kind spirit. Florence D'Angelo

Florence (Febronia) D'Angelo, age 97, passed of natural causes on November 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D'Angelo and son, Anthony D'Angelo. She is survived by three children-- Rosalie Carr (Randy), Jeannette Petry (James), Victor D'Angelo (Mary Beth) and daughter-in-law Elaine D'Angelo, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Florence was born in Palagonia, Sicily in 1926. She wed Joseph D'Angelo of Brooklyn, NY on April 3, 1948, then traveled to America. Later they moved to Bethpage where she raised her four children and cared endlessly for her husband and extended family. Summers were spent traveling on their boat, the Rosa D'Oro. They were members of the Tobay Yacht Club where they made lifelong friends. For many years, she and Joseph hosted their legendary New Year's Eve parties. Cooking for family and friends was her passion, no matter the occasion. She & Joseph also loved to travel together. Whether around the world or to Atlantic City, it was always an adventure. Her kitchen table was the epicenter of the family. She regularly hosted Sunday dinners, cooking enough sauce and pastina soup to feed an army. She never faltered in her love and support for those around her, yet she was tough when she had to be. She doted on her grandchildren and especially loved the time she had with her six great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the D'Angelo family. We will always cherish the memories and will continue her traditions of cooking and generosity for years to come.Show more
