Eric Castaneda, 26, Of Elgin, Il passed away Wednesday June 15th after a fatal car accident. He was born in Elgin, Il on April 18,1996 to Alisia Rodriguez and Ismael Rodriguez. Eric graduated at Central High School in Elgin. Eric is survived by his 9 siblings: Jorge Gonzalez, Rocky Gonzalez, Nancy Lopez, Marisela Castaneda, Jose Castaneda, Junior Castaneda, Julisa Castaneda, Cindy Doty, Amy Doty, 2 nieces: Analilya Cantu, Sabrina Cantu, nephew: Nicholas Castaneda. Eric loved fishing with his brother as well as enjoying the outdoors with his dog Mia. He grew up watching wrestling and if you knew Eric growing up he had a bin of wrestling figurines which he passed down to his nephew. His mother and younger brother will always cherish the times they went together to wrestling events. Eric loved to collect video games and play them with his family. Growing up with so many siblings he formed a special bond with each of them. He was always protective of his family and will continue to look after them in spirit. His nieces and nephews will cherish the memories that they shared with him. His smile and goofy laugh will never be forgotten. Memorial services will be held Tuesday June 21st 4-9 pm in the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, 51 Center St. , Elgin. Burial service on Wednesday, June 22nd 10:00 am from the Wait Ross Allanson Chapel where we will follow to Bluff City Cemetery and arrive at 10:30am. 847-742-2100/In his honor we ask that everyone wear all white at his services.
