Obituary of Emma "Jeanie" Mann Emma "Jeanie" Mann, 93, formerly from Marion, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center in LaFontaine. Born in Center, Arkansas, on July 1, 1925, Jeanie was the daughter of the late Edgar and Bertha (Bensch) Thompson. Jeanie was a 1942 graduate of Evening Shade High School. She married her loving husband, Arthur Noble Mann, on November 10, 1946, and shared life together for nearly 54 years before he preceded her in death on June 11, 2000. Jeanie was a pastor's wife and faithfully served her husband and the church while he was in the pastorate at First Landmark Missionary Baptist, where she was also a member. She enjoyed hand quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, cooking, baking, and reading. Survivors include her children: Vicky R. Mann, Marion; Belinda (Thomas) Canten, Marion; Tammy (Brian) Johnson, O'Fallon, IL; and Timothy N. (Deborah) Mann, Marion; sister, Pauline (Floyd) Powell, Kokomo; grandchildren, Nicole (Jay) Shady, Monica (Shane Caudill) Berryman, Emily (Mike) Clark, Ryan (Andrea) Johnson, Ben (Maggie) Mann, Bridgette (Trey) Boswell, Jonathon (Emily) Mann, Weston (Jordan) Mann, Calven Mann, and Analea Mann; and great-grandchildren, Kayetlin Shady, Magdeallain Shady, Brittany Wright, Gabrielle Wright, Michaela Berryman, Christian Caudill, Trenner Boswell, Solomon Boswell, Edna Boswell, Charlotte Boswell, Elsy Mann, Urben Mann, Ronan Mann, and Teddy Clark. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Edna Neeley and Helen Hulette. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Jeanie's life will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Jay Shady officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory.
