Elsie Jean Webster, age 88, of Mattoon, Illinois passed peacefully on April 25, 2019 at Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home. Funeral services honoring her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston, Mattoon IL 61938. Visitation for family and friends will be at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute, Indiana. Elsie was born on November 13, 1930 in Martinsville, IL the daughter of Jeff and Goldie Mae (Jacobs) Walters. She married Robert L. Kester on May 27, 1952. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1963. She later married Morris E. Webster on June l, 1974. Survivors include her husband, Morris Webster of Mattoon, IL; daughter, Nancee (Stephen) Tye of Rochester Hills, MI; son, Douglas Wayne Kester of Mattoon, IL; brother, Jerry (Karen) Walters of Mattoon, IL; grandchildren, Ashley (Ermal) Gjoni of MI; Nicholas Tye (Brianne Pero), MI; Joshua Tye (Jeffrey Darrish), MI; great-grandchildren, Lilliana and Evelina. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Goldie Walters; husband, Robert Kester, infant son, David Wesley Kester; eight brothers and six sisters.
