Elsie Hutson Obituary

FORT WORTH - Elsie Marie Hutson, 90, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Please join us in celebrating her life at Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth for the funeral at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, and the viewing on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 6 to 8 p. m. in the Sandburg suite at Mount Olivet Chapel. Elsie was born to Everett and Ruby Huffman on June 20, 1932 and resided in Fort Worth for all of her 90 years. She was a very talented pianist and enjoyed playing in church for many years. She was a very spiritual woman who loved the Lord and served many throughout her life. She also loved being a caregiver for many years and enjoyed gospel music and antiques. She loved her sons and grandchildren very much and had a very special relationship with her granddaughter, Angel, and her adopted granddaughter, Stephanie Elting, who had cared for her for the last 10 years. Elsie was a long-time member of Lakeside Church of God in Lakeside, TX, and more recently attended Ark of Faith in Richland Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Hutson; brothers, Everett, Willis, and Jody Huffman; sisters, Hazel Carl, Ruby Hall and Evelyn McClintock. Survivors: sons, Charles (Kim) and William (Allie) Hutson; brother, Clarence (Faye) Huffman; grandchildren, Angel Hutson (Mason), Curtis (Lana) Hutson (Charlie and Landry), Crystal (Ryan) Hershon (Maggie and Weston), and Kaitlyn Hutson; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
