Ella Mae Jones, 79, of Elkton, MD, passed away on September 10, 2023. Born in Bradshaw, WV on May 14, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Opal Fanny Lee Bowles. Mrs. Jones retired from Brake Parts, Inc, Newark, DE. She had also previously worked for Textured Yarn, Pirelli Cable, and Majestic Industries. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, and donating to the homeless and animal shelters. Survivors include her siblings, Jack E Bowles, Glendora Dvorak (Roger), Michael D. Bowles, Sr. , all of Elkton, MD and Frankie A. Bowles (Bethany), Greenville, DE; along with many nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Larry Dean Jones; siblings, Thomas W. Bowles, Patricia Ann Bowles, Betty J. Keene, Jerry Lee Bowles, Larry Allen Bowles, John G. Bowles and James E. Bowles. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P. A. at 103 W. Stockton St. , Elkton, MD 21921 to assist with funeral expenses.

Eldonna Summers Williamson, 70, of Elkton, MD passed away Friday, November 24, 2023. Born in Terre Haute, IN on February 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Eldon E. and Edna L. Summers. Ms. Williamson graduated with her master's degree and retired as an engineer at DuPont. She traveled extensively in her position at DuPont to places like Japan and England. After her retirement she bought a house in Scotland where she liked to hike the countryside. Elly was a Renaissance woman who played multiple instruments, wrote professionally, painted, was an expert in the Myers-Briggs personality types; she taught as a professor at University of Delaware. She enjoyed gardening and maintaining her homestead. Her passion was rescuing and housing senior dogs. She has left her home as a sanctuary for animals in need. Elly loved sports, college and pro; she was a diehard Eagles fan. Elly inspired many. People found themselves drawn to her and her fascinating life. After surviving breast cancer, she volunteered at the center where she was treated and helped with studies, analyzing and collecting data. Some of her closest friends are those she met in a shared breast cancer journey. Those who navigated Elly through her journey, developed a deep respect and admiration for the woman she was. Elly believed in shared learning and was a compassionate human being. She regularly posted inspirational quotes on her Facebook page with her artwork. Survivors include her sister, Brenda Marks, North Fort Meyers, FL, and nieces. Celebration of Life will be private. David Lee Sentman, Sr. , 91, of Elkton, MD passed away Monday, November 20, 2023. Born in Elkton on March 30, 1932, he was the son of the late John M. and Katherine Miller Sentman. Dave was an avid athlete growing up, playing baseball, football, basketball and soccer earning 9 varsity letters at Elkton High School. He was also the school's first quarterback when they started a football program in 1949. He loved sports so much, he also played baseball for the American Legion of Elkton team throughout high school. Dave was also very involved in the Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Following high school, he attended Charlotte Hall Military Academy where he played baseball, football and basketball. Dave proudly served our country from 1950 to 1956. He joined the Maryland National Guard with the 115th Infantry Regiment and then volunteered for active duty in the U. S. Army during the Korean war, serving in Korea with the 5th Regimental Combat Team. Dave later transitioned back to the Maryland National Guard with the 115th Infantry Regiment. Following his military service, Dave graduated from Goldey Beacom with a business degree and then joined Hercules, Inc. , working in various roles in sales and business operations over his 31 years with the company. He also married the love of his life, Joanne McKeown, with whom together they built their family home and raised their children. Dave was devoted to his children and continued his love of sports with coaching little league baseball throughout his son's school years. Accolades include coaching numerous Elkton All Star baseball teams and managing the 1978 Elkton Community Little League baseball team that won the Maryland State Championship that year. As a coach, he enjoyed working with kids and teaching them the game along with sharing many life lessons that naturally occur when participating in sports. Dave would frequently talk about his ball players like they were his own kids and he was honored to feel like he was a second father to many of them. He was also a passionate fan of the Baltimore Colts, and later the Baltimore Ravens, and especially the Baltimore Orioles and the University of Maryland Terps. Survivors include his children, Kelly S. Robinson (Rob), Mason, OH, David L. Sentman, Jr. (Donna), Avondale, PA; grandchildren, Casey Musgrave, Andrew Robinson, Katelyn Sentman, Ryan Sentman, Erin Sentman; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Sentman, and Deborah Rudy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Joanne McKeown Sentman; brothers, John M. Sentman, Jr. , Charles Sentman, and Donald Sentman. Funeral service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 9 AM. Donald Neal Sentman Jr. "Neal" age 73, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 in the company of his best friend and son, Dutch Sentman. Born in Elkton, MD on June 2, 1950, he is the son of Elizabeth A. DiPaola Sentman and the late Donald N. Sentman, Sr. Neal went to Immaculate Conception Grade School then on to Salesianum High School graduating in 1969. He attended the University of Maryland in College Park, MD graduating in 1973 with a business degree and completing his ROTC training there as well. He began a lifelong career in the family business, Sentman Distributors Inc. , specializing in fixing their draft systems, and retiring after 55 years with the company. Neal was a true lifelong learner. He continued his education earning a Maryland real estate license and eventually a broker's license. He became instrument certified as an airplane pilot and then turned his attention to law school. He attended Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan from 1987-1988. He transferred to Northern Virginia Law school where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. His learning did not stop with formal education. He was mechanically gifted and able to run 18 wheelers, backhoes, tractors, and the like. He built his own home from the ground up at the age of 27 and he could fix most anything. He was truly a renaissance man. His hobbies included collecting WWII artifacts, guns, and bantering with friends on the state of world events. Neal was knowledgeable on a diverse range of subject matter and greatly enjoyed sharing that information in conversation with anyone. He treasured his time with his nephews, Maksim and Roman Schreuder. However, Neal's one true passion in his life was his son, Dutch. In addition to his mother, survivors include his son, Donald N. "Dutch" Sentman, III, Chesapeake City, MD; and siblings, Ann Sentman, Annapolis, MD, and Jack Sentman, Elkton, MD; sister-in-law, Kandace Schreuder (Marc), Rising Sun, MD; nephews and nieces, Roman and Maksim Schreuder, Maggie Sentman Crouse (Larry), Rob Sentman, Maureen Sentman Danos; numerous cousins; and former wife, Kimberly Sentman, Ocean City, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be private in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Elkton, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt.
