Elizabeth (Betty) Ward, 71 of Greensburg, PA passed away on August 11, 2023 at Kobacker House in Columbus, OH after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on May 23, 1952 in Taylor, PA to Elizabeth (Walsh) and Edward Robbins. After growing up in Avoca, PA, Betty attended Kutztown University majoring in library science and the University of Pittsburgh earning a Master's Degree in Library Science. An avid book lover since she was a child, Betty spent her career as a librarian, dutifully serving as the Westmoreland County Law Librarian for 32 years. Betty loved reading historical fiction, watching British period dramas, visiting National Parks, celebrating her Irish heritage, and traveling with her daughter, Meghan. She had a quiet demeanor and a warm heart. She was respected by all who knew her. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Edward Robbins; her beloved husband, John Patrick Ward; and sister-in-law, Doreen Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Meghan (Ward) VanCleve and her husband, Rob of Columbus, OH; her sister, Phyllis Jones (Bob) of Pittston, PA; brother, Edward (Debbie) of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Ward and Maryanne Bragg, and brothers-in-law, Jamie Ward (Maggie) and Marty Ward (Cathie), as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Family and friends will be recieved on Wednesday, August 16th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA. Nylene Immel

Nylene H. Immel, passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 91 in Greensburg. She was born on November 3, 1932, in Johnstown to Joseph and Marguerite (Cunningham) Hutchison. Nylene's compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her unwavering kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends alike. One of Nylene's greatest passions was her talent as a seamstress and quilter. She created beautiful bridesmaids and wedding gowns for her daughters' weddings. Countless clothes, quilts, and gifts were lovingly crafted by her hands for her family and friends. Not only was Nylene skilled with a needle and thread, but she also dedicated much of her time to serving Westminster Presbyterian Church. She held the role of Elder and served on both the Parish Life and Worship Committees. Nylene diligently put together the weekly prayer list for the congregation and brightened the lives of shut-ins by providing them with monthly cards filled with love and heartfelt messages. Nylene enjoyed a variety of activities with her husband since his retirement, including traveling the country and golfing. Nylene is a former member of the Norvelt ladies golf league in Mount Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Ann McKenna and Bertha Jane Wagner and her son in law, Gilbert Haught. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard "Dick" Immel, her daughters: Patricia Haught, Linda Kniskern, Suzanne Runge, and Karen Brailey (Paul); grandchildren: Matthew Haught (Keli), Hunter Kniskern, Tyler and Eric Runge, and Sarah and Megan Brailey; great-grandchildren: Brynn and Jackson Haught; as well as extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service to celebrate Nylene's life will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 1120 Harvey Ave, Greensburg, PA 15601. Richard C. Rosensteel, 82, of South Greensburg, died Thursday, November 23, 2023, at his home. He was born July 18, 1941, in Elders Ridge, a son of the late Richard and Beatrice (Wilson) Rosensteel. Prior to retirement he had been a teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School. Rich also coached basketball for many local schools and universities, including Thomas Jefferson High School, Greensburg Central Catholic High School, Mount Pleasant High School, and Seton Hill University. He was very instrumental in getting scholarships for his players and inspiring the lives of many. He was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edwina Douglas, and Katherine Hoyt; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Corsi. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, F. Nancy Rosensteel; his son, Michael Rosensteel (Nadine); four daughters, Renee Rosensteel (Bill O'Driscoll), Beth Dixon (Robert), Colleen Rosensteel, and Laurel Peters (Sean); seven grandchildren, Claire Petersen, Victoria Dixon, Robert Dixon, Chloe Peters, Cadence Peters, Giavanna Rosensteel, and Dominic Rosensteel; and many good friends. Rev. Dr. Cora Jean Black, a native of New Stanton, PA on November 17, 2023 left her earthly dwelling to enjoy eternal life in Heaven with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of Ruby Isabel Waugaman Black and A. J. Black and the wife of Arthur B. Everett for over 48 years. Cora Jean was a graduate of Hempfield Area Senior High School and Greensburg Business Academy. Additional studies was done with Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Seton Hill University, Westmoreland County Community College and International Bible Institute. Formerly employed at West Penn Power Co. after a few years a call for her FIRST Missionary trip to Spanish Town and Kingston West Indies, as follow-up work of Billy Grahams Crusade in the Islands. After returning to the states, her ministry for the Lord opened across the country; city wide crusades, Radio and TV broadcasting reaching millions weekly, Member BMI: she wrote and recorded Gospel Music "America for Christ; The Joy of Life is Jesus; Christ is coming Are YOU Ready?" on cassette, records, sheet music, and CDs. Soon overseas missionary work unfolded: Hosting eight tour groups to the Holy Lands, Israel, Greece, Rome, Jordan, Africa, Brussels Belgium, preached in Cairo Egypt. Distributed thousand of copies of her personal testimony printed in Chinese, French, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. Since 1962, Rev. Cora Jean Black served the area as a Notary Public and Full Agent with Harrisburg for Titles, T-Plates, Mortgages Closings. Counseling Bereavement Facilitator Prison Rehab Ministry - "White Deer" also County and State prison ministries. Most recent: "God Spoke. . . Moses Wrote" which helps with drug deliverance. June L. Noel, 84, of South Greensburg, died peacefully at home Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was born on Tuesday, June 6, 1939, in Ligonier, Pa. Her legacy began when she met the love of her life, "Whitey", at Ligonier Valley Beach. June traveled with her husband during his military career before buying their forever home on Short Street in South Greensburg. There, June spent her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, pouring her heart into being the best homemaker. June enjoyed sharing wisdom over a cup of coffee and playing cards with her friends. You would often find her snuggled up reading a good book or completing the daily crossword in the newspaper. June was preceded in death by her husband Clifford G. Noel Sr. , and two sons Clifford "CG" G. Noel Jr. and John N. Noel. She is survived by two sons, Sean P. Noel, of Greensburg, Pa. , and Charles S. Noel, of South Greensburg, Pa; a daughter, Mary R. Mesich, of South Greensburg, Pa; eight grandchildren who she loved dearly, Noel Kelly (Brad), John Noel Jr. , Seanna Reedy (Dalton), Allyssa Noel, Cierra White (Michael), Frankie King, Clifford "Cj" King, and Mackenzie Noel; and a sister, Judy Foreman Boris, of Utica, NY; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Louis Derose

P. Louis DeRose III, 78, of Greensburg, PA died 14 November 2023 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. Born 16 April 1945 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, to the late P. Louis and Antoinette (Salvatore) DeRose, Louis grew up in Arnold, PA and attended Bucknell University, graduating with his B. A. in 1967. He received his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating in 1970. It was at Bucknell that Lou met his future wife, Joan, who passed away in August. They were married in 1970 and settled in Greensburg. Lou practiced family law his entire career. He was a 53-year member of the Westmoreland and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and, a former solicitor for Greensburg Salem School District and the City of Greensburg Zoning Hearing Board. His great interest in history led him on a journey supporting his local community. He was the former President of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor as well as the Westmoreland Historical Society. He loved to research the history of places and things he loved - the Pennsylvania Railroad, New Kensington, Greensburg, and Hyannisport, MA. He even published a book on Greensburg in 2004. In recent years, Lou, with his wife Joan, spent countless hours assisting the Westmoreland Historical Society. He could be found hosting talks about various pastimes or behind the bar serving drinks! Some of Lou’s favorite things to do were spending holidays with family, taking summer trips to Hyannisport Cape Cod, collecting model trains, watching old westerns, and enjoying social gatherings with friends, especially at the Westmoreland Polo and Hunt Club. Lou is survived by two children, Peter A. (Kelly) DeRose of Bradenton, FL, and Catharine S. (Eric) Ackerstrom of Gaithersburg, MD; three grandchildren, Piper, Gage, and Matthew; a brother, David S. (Johnette) DeRose of Latrobe, PA; and a brother-in-law, Stephen W. (Kathryn) Henderson of Covington, GA; a niece and two nephews. The family wishes to thank all those who rendered care to Lou the past ten months and especially Latrobe Select Specialty Care, Redstone Highlands, and Redstone Hospice Care. Pastor Henry T. Taliercio, 72 of South Greensburg passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023. In 1984, after 21 years of crime and drug use, God brought Henry out of darkness and into the marvelous light of Jesus Christ following his introduction to a Christian rehabilitation program. In the months and years to follow, Henry’s life was radically changed for the Glory of God, where he immediately became interested in ministering to others with life-controlling problems. Since that time of restoration, Henry began working with homeless people on the streets of Manhattan and became the director of an outreach center in Brooklyn, NY. In 1995, Henry became a pastor at Word of Life Ministries in Greensburg, PA until 2010 when he founded The Father’s Heart Ministries, which was a fulfillment of his to help others with addictions. Pastor Henry was born June 12, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY. The son of the late Augustine and Elizabeth Taliercio. He was a member of Word of Life Church, Greensburg, where he served as pastor before founding The Father’s Heart Ministries in Penn, PA. Pastor Henry loved helping others in need through his church’s outreach programs. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anne Loretta (McKee) Taliercio; brother, Anthony Taliercio and sister, Carol (Ross) Perrone; niece, Elizabeth Perrone and nephew, Charles Perrone. On November 14th, 2023 Spencer Mackenzie Patrick passed away suddenly at the age of 30. Spencer was born on January 22nd, 1993 in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his younger brother Carter Patrick. He is survived by his father (Hakan Akbay), his mum (Kelly Patrick), grandmother "Nini" (Anita Patrick, grandmother (Sukran Akbay), uncle (Volkan Akbay) and his girlfriend (Cheyenne Sky Castro). Spencer had an old soul. It was noticeable when he was little. He was a wonderful baby who grew into an amazing man right before my eyes. Spencer was genuinely kind, caring, funny, witty, loving and goofy. His love for movies (especially horror movies) was a passion of his since he was little. He touched so many lives throughout his life. He loved his job and was excited about the future. He was a wonderful person, amazing son, grandson, nephew, brother and friend. He was also fiercely in love with his girlfriend Cheyenne. She was the "one" for him and they were perfect for each other. The loss of Spencer has touched many just as he touched many throughout his life. I can picture Carter & Spencer playing Yugi-Oh and likely arguing about the cards wherever they are right now. W. Kenneth Noel, Sr. , 89, of South Greensburg, died, Tuesday, November 7, 2023. He was born in Tyrone on March 18, 1934, a son of the late Ralph A. Noel and Mary Bell Wrye Noel. He was a member of South Greensburg United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, he was employed in sales for Atlantic Breeders Company. Ken was active in various FFA organizations and enjoyed to travel and work in his garden. He also was a fan of the Steeler, Pirates and Penguins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Walter K. "Shorty" Noel, Jr. ; granddaughter, Mary Belle Noel; 2 sisters, Elaine Preller and Doris Schmidt. Ken is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Jamison Noel; his daughters, Candy Lee Noel and Cynthia Ann Taddy; sister, Judy Anders; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews.
