In particular, she relished her time swimming, water-skiing, and any time spent at Shady Dock, Midway, or at the Park. Congetta Mladjan

Congetta Mladjan

Age - 100

September 16, 2023

Congetta B. Catone Mladjan on Thursday September 14, 2023 of Swissvale. Wife of the late John. Loving mother of Barbara L. Neville and her husband Allen V. Neville of Monroeville. Dear Gram of Erin L. Moio, her husband David and Jennifer Nelson and her husband Kwan. Great Gram of Caitlin, Madison, Brenna Keating and Jacob Nelson. She always said, "The Big Guy isn't ready for me yet," but on Thursday, September 14, our beloved angel took her place in heaven. Congetta was her given name, but those who knew and loved her had other names: Jet, Gramma Jet, and, simply, Gram. Gram lived a full life to the age of 100. She celebrated family, faith, friendship, laughter, and patriotism every single day. Her spirit of life was unparalleled. Over the years she held many jobs and touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She worked as a waitress at the Village Diary, a school crossing guard, and a do-anything-that-needs-done worker at Wendy's. She never drove and walked or rode the PAT bus everywhere. She was strong and a force to be reckoned with! Shakespeare may not have known it at the time, but he was describing her perfectly when he wrote, "Though she be but little, she is fierce. " Gram's effect on others is a legacy of love, generosity, and gratitude that will survive generations to follow. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday September 18 Only at the Thomas L. Nied 7441 Washington Street Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Anselm Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday Morning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent LGAR, 800 Elsie Street, Turtle Creek PA 15145.Show more
