Elizabeth Luck Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Atkins Luck, 79, of Richmond, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Betty retired from Dahlgren after over 25 years of employment and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Betty was the family historian with many stories and memories of loved ones from long ago. She loved Elvis, crossword puzzles, Easter peeps, and a good ole Coca-Cola. Betty was larger than life and she loved to have a good time. She was stubborn, sassy, hardheaded, funny, witty, smart, loving, and caring. She definitely did it the Betty way. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Luck; mother Nell Horsley; her fur babies, George and Rufus; and her beloved, David Hockaday. She and David have been reunited and are now dancing the two step and a good ole Paul Jones number. The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Legacy Hospice, Lauren, Marilyn, Danley Marshall and her team for their loving care and concern of Betty in her final weeks. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p. m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, May 2 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
