Elizabeth Kaczynski Obituary

In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Sturm Kaczynski. Born October 21, 1926 - Passed away May 8, 2023. She was born in Losatal, Germany to parents Adolf and Sophie (Apple) Sturm. Elizabeth married William (Bill) Kaczynski on November 6, 1948 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. She came with her husband to the United States in 1951 where she worked at Schultz Bakery, Gulf State Paper Company for 15 years, and Toledo Window Cleaners for 7 1/2 years, retiring in 1998. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church for over 40 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be warmly remembered as such by her family for many, many years to come. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, George (Debra), Richard, and Thomas Kaczynski: son-in-law, Thomas Lohmann; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and 7 nephews and 8 nieces in Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; daughter, Christine Lohmann; son, John Kaczynski; daughters-in-law, Sandy Kaczynski, Debi Kaczynski and Tammy Wright; 6 brothers, 5 sisters; and her parents, Adolf and Sophie Sturm. Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 15 from 3-7 p. m. at , 114 E. Alexis Rd. , where members of the St. Catherine Church Marian Society will lead a rosary at 4 p. m. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 9:45 a. m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:30 a. m.
