Elizabeth Hollar Obituary

Elizabeth Nantz Hollar, age 81, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Chapel Hill, NC. She was born on June 23, 1942, in Iredell County, NC, to the late Hubert and Beulah Smith Nantz. Libby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Hollar; son, Trent Hollar; daughter, Alice Hollar; and sisters, Martha Sloan, Annie Water, and Sue Phillips. She is survived by her grandchildren, Sanaa Alyemeni, Norah Alyemeni, Kawsar Chavez, and Yusif Alyemeni, great-grandchildren, Zane Moore, Alara Moore, Dash Chavez, Finn Chavez, and Sami Alyemeni; sisters, Alice Benfield, and Helen Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. Libby worked in retail management and she enjoyed playing card games and online puzzles, her daily chats with her sister, Alice, and fishing at the beach. She especially loved going out to eat with her family, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 3 pm until 4 pm, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4 pm.
