Elizabeth Locklear Garner, 89, of Fayetteville passed away on June 19, 2022. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Lee Maynor Locklear and John Abner Locklear; siblings, James Howard Locklear, Calvin Locklear, Tracy Locklear, Elliard Locklear, Myrtle Locklear, Dorothy Chavis, Elsie Mae Locklear, Richard Anthony Garner and Mabel Knavelsrud; and grandparents, James Maynor and Flora Sampson Maynor and John Franklin Locklear and Emily Driggers. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Gary Michael Garner, Duayne (Ducky) Edward Garner, and Libby Carol Garner Wheeler; grandson, Jeffrey Michael Garner (Sally); siblings, Bobbie Carr (Dawson) of Seven Lakes, NC, John Locklear (Janice) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sarah Palmer of Atlanta, GA. Elizabeth was a very loving person and an amazing mother. She had a long career in nursing to fit her giving personality. She was a proud member of the Lumbee Native American Tribe. A Visitation Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM at Berean Baptist Church on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park West on Tuesday, June 28 at 3 PM.
