Villarreal, Eliberto Jr. (Tete), age 83, passed away on Sunday morning, June 19, 2022. Eliberto was born in Corpus Christi, but raised in Laredo, Texas. He graduated from Martin High School in 1958. After graduating he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He married his beautiful wife, Dolores Villarreal, on December 17, 1971. They settled down in Corpus Christi to raise their family. Eliberto retired from the Navy and always said it was the best experience of his life. Eliberto enjoyed researching his ancestry, watching western movies, gardening, and listening to mariachi music. Above all Eliberto treasured his family. He loved to have family over, eat good food, watch his grandchildren play, and drink his homemade lemonade!Preceded in death by his father, Eliberto Villarreal Sr. , and his brothers, Antonio Villarreal, Rodolfo Villarreal, and Raul Villarreal. Eliberto is survived by his wife Dolores Villarreal, his mother Luz Villarreal, his brother Jesus Villarreal (Stella), his daughter Veronica Chapa (David), his son Eliberto Villarreal III (Annabell), his daughter Guadalupe Chapa (Rey), his daughter Cristina Villarreal, and 12 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Guardian Funeral Home on 5922 Crosstown Access Rd. Public visitation will begin at 3:00 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30. On Thursday, June 23, 2022, a Chapel Service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home at 8:15 am. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 am.
