Donald Colbert Pelletier, 74, of Oxford, unexpectedly entered eternal life on Thursday February 29, 2024, at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Debra Deely Pelletier. Don was born in Bridgeport on January 4, 1950, beloved son of William Pelletier and Jeannie Mucherino Pelletier. He attended St. Joseph’s Grammer School and was a graduate of Masuk High School in Monroe. He was employed as a Judicial Marshal for the State of Connecticut until his retirement. Don lived life to the fullest and had many interests and hobbies including photography, deep sea fishing, gastronomy, and traveling. He enjoyed exploring new destinations including Nova Scotia, Aruba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Paris, Amsterdam, Germany, and a memorable cross-country trip on his beloved Harley. In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by his brother, James Pelletier of Woodbury; brothers in law, Robert Deely, and Chief Patrick Deely; nieces, Kristen Deely-Howe and her husband Eric, and Elisa Deely; nephews, Michael Deely and his wife Molly, and Sean Deely; and great nephews, Henry, Luke, and Guy Robert. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends. Funeral services which are private have been entrusted into the care of the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour, CT. Michele Marie (Rozinski) Parker, 68, died peacefully in Danbury, CT on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born to Francis Xavier (FX) and Leona Ann Rozinski on September 27, 1955 in Cherry Point, NC. Michele graduated from Central Bucks East High School in Doylestown, PA and later graduated from Colorado State University where she studied Food Science & Nutrition. She started her career in corporate aviation, taking to the skies and touring the world as the flight attendant and in-flight chef for The Seagram Company out of Westchester County Airport in White Plains, NY. After retiring from her first career, Michele landed in Newtown, CT and turned her natural talent for nurturing curiosity into her second career as an elementary school teacher. She earned her Master’s Degree from Western Connecticut State University. At her passing she was teaching at South Street Elementary School in Danbury, CT. Prior to that she taught at Middle Gate Elementary School in Newtown, CT and at Broadview Middle School in Danbury. Mrs. Parker, as she’d come to be known, embraced education as her next adventure and shared her fearless leadership with her always-growing family of students and colleagues. She’ll be missed, but her spirit lives on. Michele is survived by her loving husband Dana Parker, her son Christopher Parker, her siblings Cynthia Rozinski-Stine, Stephen J. Rozinski, Lisa R. Lavina, Mary R. O’Neil, Joan R. Shelton and her nieces and nephews Conor O’Neil, Kelly O’Neil Wilson, Claire Lavina, Peter Lavina, and Emily Shelton. Danbury- Dorothy B. (Moehlin) Bittorf, age 96, of Danbury passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Glen Hill Center in Danbury on February 28 , 2024. She was the widow of Walter G. Bittorf. Survivors include: Diane Passander of Danbury, CT and Debra Bean of Grantham, NH. As well as her grandchildren Adam Passander (Marivee), Melinda Passander (Richard), Ryan Bolmer & Rachael Meade (Branden). She is also survived by her great grandchildren Adam, Jonathan, Arianna, Chloe & Alexander and her 2 nephews: Richie and Alan Kolessar. She was predeceased by her sister: Marilyn Kolessar & spouse Richard Kolessar. As well as her 2 son in laws Clint Bean & John Passander. Mrs. Bittorf was born February 4 , 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. Daughter of the late Irvin and Johanna (Heinz) Moehlin. Dorothy graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in NY in 1946. She met the love of her life Walter. Walter enlisted in the Navy and after his 4 years of service, they were married. They eventually moved to Danbury, CT where they raised their 2 daughters. She enjoyed sewing, even making the draperies in her house as well as her children’s clothes. She was a dedicated and creative homemaker. Later in life she became involved with painting, which she was very gifted in. While her family was growing up, Dorothy enjoyed bowling, gardening, artistic crafts, sewing & quilting. Dorothy was involved with creating numerous different painting projects, whom she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends. After many years of raising her family, Dorothy got her license and pursued a career at the Sears Catalog Company, eventually becoming a supervisor of the catalog department. After retiring, Dorothy & Walter spent time traveling to Maine, especially Acadia & Jordan Pond. Other trips included visiting family in Florida. Some of their favorite places include Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor & Fort Myers. Dorothy loved going to the Shell Factory & Carolina Pottery. She enjoyed having tea at Jordan Pond (ME). Every spring, they would go to Lancaster, PA to go to the Green Dragon Flea Market. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family & being surrounded by her loved ones. One of everyone’s fondest memories was of celebrating Christmas with her. Mrs. Bittorf’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday March 4 , 2024 from 1-3pm at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday March 4 , 2024 at 3pm. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury on Saturday March 9 , 2024 at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Dorothy’s family would also like to thank Glen Hill Center & Regional Hospice of Danbury, CT for their care & support.

Gerald R. Marsh, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 12, 2024. He was 79 years old. Gary was born on November 6, 1944, in San Diego, CA, the son of the late Enos and Fleta (Combs) Marsh. He graduated from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and the Lliff School of Theology for Seminary, where he met his wife, Jean L. Holt. They later moved to New England to raise their family. Gary was ordained as a United Church of Christ minister and volunteered countless hours counseling youth at Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop, ME. He often volunteered as a cabin counselor and art instructor, chaperoned youth rallies and served on the maintenance staff for the camp. Gary also enjoyed camping, bird watching, model railroading, and playing the guitar. Gary is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Ethan Marsh and Bethany Sullivan and her husband, Brian; his grandchildren, Ilana and Owen; and his brother Sam Marsh. He will be missed by many. Virginia (Knapp) Murphy, of Danbury, beloved wife of 56 years to Jack Murphy, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, February 27 . She was born in Danbury on October 26, 1946, daughter of the late Adelbert and Virginia Knapp. She was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church in Danbury A graduate of Berkley Secretarial School, Ginny worked as a legal secretary for several area law firms. Ginny was the devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Some of her happiest memories were made while summering in her childhood vacation home in Sebago Lake Maine. Ginny enjoyed Swedish weaving and always looked forward to Friday “date night, pizza night” with Jack. In addition to her husband, Jack, she will be missed by her daughter, Robyn Wood; her grandchildren, Madison and Ryan Wood; her brother, G. Robert Knapp and his wife, Jane; and her former son-in-law, Justin Wood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family members who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be at St. James Episcopal Church on Wednesday, March 6 at 11:00am. Interment in Wooster Cemetery will be held privately at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, on Tuesday, March 5 between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00pm. Memorial Contributions her memory may be made to St. James Episcopal Church.

Susan E. Howard, 77, a resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Born on November 17, 1945 in New York, NY she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eleanor (Brodsky) Howard. Ms. Howard received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and worked as a caregiver at New Horizons Resources. In the late 1990’s and early 2000s, Susan performed in Barbra Streisand Impersonation shows in Provincetown, RI and Naples, FL. In 2016, she published a children’s book, “The Tale of the Tail.” From April to May 2022, Susan starred at the Sherman Players’ production, “Whodunnit?” Ms. Howard is survived by her companion, Jerry Suk, of Wingdale, NY and a brother, Peter Howard of Albany, NY. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A time of sharing will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
