Eleanor Falls Coleman, 83, of Stuarts Draft, is celebrating in Heaven with her Lord as of Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. Eleanor was born in Virginia to Thelma and Elmer Falls on June 23rd, 1940. She was part of the last graduating class from Fairfield High School in 1960 and was a CNA with a local Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuarts Draft. Eleanor was a longtime member of Sherlynd Baptist Church and cherished her church family. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gene Coleman Sr. and a brother, Franklin Falls. Eleanor is survived by her children; David Coleman and significant-other Jenny Will of Stuarts Draft, Laurie Shifflett and husband Stacy Shifflett Sr. of Tuttle, OK, and Gene Coleman Jr and significant-other Sherry Mason of Mocksville, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stacy Shifflett Jr. , Nicholas Coleman and Elizabeth Dameron; as well as a brother, Lewis Falls; sisters, Brenda Schoenbeck, Phillis Rogers and husband Pete, and Glennis McConnell and husband Malcolm. Lastly, she is survived by numerous cousins and her special church family. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 12th at 1:00 PM at Sherlynd Baptist Church with Pastor Allen George officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Beasley, Stacy Shifflett Sr. , Timmy Fitzgerald and Andy Beasley. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sherlynd Baptist Church. Mildred Anne (Dickey) Willett passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 where she ran into her Lord and Savior's arms as she parted from the loving arms of her children and grandchildren, where she peacefully slept. She was 82 year old. She was born December 20, 1940 in her own home in Pine Flats, Pennsylvania. Anne had nine brothers and sisters. Anne Willett was married to Richard Clark Willett, Jr. four months after meeting him at work, at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D. C. They exchanged vows on June 10, 1960. She worked several years at the Bureau, taking a break to raise five children, Trena Sue Boan (Robert), Victoria Anne Cravey (JD), Richard C. Willett, lll (Shannon), John Scott Willett (Stephanie) and Sarah Elizabeth Foos (Daniel). Anne and Richard moved to Stuarts Draft, Virginia, where she was bathed in love from her 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is now basking in love, playing with her great grandson, Anathasius, and enjoying life with her husband, parents, brothers and sisters who went on before her. She is truly missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p. m. on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, 620 Essex Drive, Staunton. Burial will follow at a later date in Pine Flats, Pa. Roller Lee "Petie" Eavers, Jr. , 82, widower of Betty Ruth (Null) Eavers, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Eavers was born on December 26, 1940 in Staunton, Virginia, a son of the late Roller Lee Eavers, Sr. and Myrtle (Fitzgerald) Eavers. Mr. Eavers was self-employed with Eavers Enterprises, Inc. and a member of the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. Petie's interests included drag racing, in which he was inducted into the East Coast Drag Racing Hall of Fame, and restoring cars. Petie, as everyone will remember, enjoyed starting his day with his breakfast groups. He knew of and frequented every breakfast spot in town. Above all, his grandchildren were his greatest joy. In addition to his parents and his wife of 61 years, Mr. Eavers was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tasha Eavers. Surviving is a son, Gary L. Eavers, Sr. and wife Darla C. of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Ronda E. Heizer and husband David of Greenville and Amy Eavers-Shover and partner Brian Miller of Mint Spring; nine grandchildren, Gary L. Eavers, Jr. , Heather Corbin and husband Brandon, Jacob Heizer and wife Samantha, Joshua Heizer and wife Taylor, Mekayla Burgdorf and husband Taber, Jonathan Shover and wife Samantha, Jordan Phillips and husband Jacob, Jackson Shover and wife Hanley, and Jameson Shover; six great-grandchildren, Corrin Corbin, Sadie Corbin, Nolan Corbin, Parker Heizer, Abigail Heizer, and Johanna Heizer; a sister, Ann (Eavers) Layton of Stuarts Draft; a sister-in-law, Helen N. Cline of Stuarts Draft; long-time friend and co-worker, Kenny Beverly; and many, many friends, too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Monday, July 31, 2023 in the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church, 2517 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft, Virginia or other times at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, 84 Jaspers Lane, Stuarts Draft, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 124 Ridgeview Drive, Stuarts Draft, Virginia by Pastor Billy Coffey. Burial will follow at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Petie's many friends.
