Richard Dee Brewer of Arrington, TN, passed away November 24, 2023, at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, he was 73 years old. Richard, "Rick", was born on January 2, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio to Julie and Elmer Brewer. He was born and raised in Springfield on their family dairy farm. Rick was a multiple sport athlete and a student of the dairy cow, especially Jerseys. In recent years his interest has turned to the Tennessee Association of Vintage Baseball where he has been able to continue his passion for baseball while playing, learning, and teaching with other enthusiasts from all walks of life. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968. He was married to the love of his life, Laurie Brewer on December 26, 1971. They went on to have two children, Matthew and Lucas, and 5 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Kelly Brewer, his parents, Julie and Elmer Brewer, and his brother Bill Brewer. He is survived by his sons Matthew (Missy) Brewer of Danville, OH, and Lucas (Mary) Brewer of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren Garrett, Cale, and Karly, Bo and Blair, sisters Deb (Goat) Atherton of Vandalia, OH, Barbie Carmichael of Dalton, OH, nieces and nephews Candee (Christian) Wolford, Dusty (Aimee) Atherton, Brett (Marisa) Atherton, Cory Carmichael, Jessica (Zach) Bolinger, Shelby (Craig) Prater, close and special friend Jean Simpson, brother-in-law Michael Kelly of Marietta, OH, sister-in-law Jody Kelly of Terrace, B. C. The family will hold a private funeral ceremony at Larkspur Conservation in Tennessee on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, and a celebration of life on Thursday December 7, 2023 from 3:00 PM-8:00PM at The Oaklands Mansion, 900 N. Maney Ave, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to the Rick Brewer Memorial Fund within the Tennessee 4-H Foundation. In Loving Memory of Irma E. Maravilla, M. D. Irma E. Maravilla of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully at 7:10 a. m. on December 1, 2023. She was born on March 11, 1936, in Taal, Batangas, Philippines, the sixth of thirteen children born to Ramon and Jovita Estactio. Irma's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her remarkable career in the field of medicine. Irma spent her formative years in Taal and Manila, where she cultivated her passion for healing and helping others. In 1958, she married Antonio "Tony" N. Maravilla, embarking on a journey filled with love and adventure. Irma's pursuit of knowledge led her to attain her Medical Degree from the University of Santo Tomas. With her daughter, Ilynne, by her side, Irma immigrated to Chicago, IL, where she commenced her medical residency. A year later, her husband Tony and their two sons, Alvy and John, joined her, and they built a life together in their new homeland. Irma served as the dedicated house physician at Grant Hospital (Lincoln Park Hospital) for many years and as a Family Practice physician at Amita's Chicago-Hamlin Medical Center. Her tireless commitment to her profession was exemplified by her continued service until the age of 83, when she finally retired in 2019. Beyond her illustrious medical career, Irma cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was a steadfast presence at family gatherings, ensuring she never missed an opportunity to be with her loved ones. Her zest for life extended to her passion for travel, taking her to explore the world's wonders. Irma was also an active parishioner at Queen of All Saints church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a devoted member of the QAS FACA group. Irma is survived by her loving husband, Tony; her three children, Alveric (Ann), Ilynne (Nick), and John (Robert); her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Jacqueline, and Peyton; her siblings, Romeo, Nora, Honesto, Gary, Ben, and Naning; and numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom regarded her as a second mother and affectionately called her "Mommy. "Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held from 3:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Friday, December 8, at Smith Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. in Chicago. Chapel Prayers will be on Saturday December 9, 2023 at 10:45 a. m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home and will process to Queen of All Saints Basilica, Chicago, for a funeral mass at 11:30 a. m. where we will gather to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who touched so many hearts with her kindness, compassion, and love. Irma's memory will forever live on in our hearts, and her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.Show more

was born October 12, 1928 and was the eldest of two children born to John Henry and Eva Murray Stead in Philadelphia, PA. She and her family attended the Hatboro Gospel Hall where she met her future husband, Samuel James Rae, Jr. After attending Gospel tent meetings in 1939, Eva trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She and Samuel were married on September 3, 1949 and spent 52 years together while living in New Jersey and Maryland. Over the years Eva was a devoted wife and mother. She was committed to sharing God's Word with her children and freely opened her home to family, friends, missionaries and preachers. After her children were grown, Eva exercised her talents in property management for several apartment buildings in Washington, D. C. and later started her own residential cleaning business. Eva is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Eva Murray Stead, husband Samuel, brother John (Hilda) and son David (Maricruz). She is survived by a daughter Deborah (Vince) Bray and two grandchildren Caitlin and Collin. She was also a loving Aunt and Cousin to many in the United States and Northern Ireland. A family visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 9:30 A. M. until time of funeral service 10:00 A. M. at the Hatboro Gospel Hall, 23 W. Mooreland Avenue. , Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
