Eileen Teter, of Zion Grove, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, at the age of 76 She was born on January 28, 1947, in Ringtown, a daughter of the late John and LaRue (Hart) Ambrose Eileen's journey through life was marked by meaningful moments and dedicated service She graduated from the former Ringtown High School in 1964, embarking on a path that would lead to a fulfilling career as a teller at the M&T Bank's Ringtown Branch office, where she worked for over 18 years until her retirement Eileen was a woman of faith and a cherished member of St John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown She was an active member of the Ladies Aid group and a former member of the church council She was a member of the Ringtown Senior Citizens, and her interests ranged from reading to crocheting and sewing Eileen was known for her love of card games and had a particular fondness for watching "Jeopardy", which became a shared family tradition Eileen's life was not without its share of challenges, but she faced them with strength and resilience She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald, in 1999, as well as her two granddaughters, Kirby's daughters -Amber and Cassandra, and her sister, Diane Primrose Eileen's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving children: Kyle and his wife Daria of Sinking Spring; Jody "Schroeder" of Zion Grove; Kirby and his wife Janet of Shenandoah Heights; Georgine, wife of Edward Miley of Leesport; and Travis and his wife Mandy of Ringtown Her legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and the anticipation of another great-grandchild Eileen is also survived by her sister, Janice Wasser, and two brothers, William Ambrose and John "Bugsy" Ambrose, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12th at St John's Lutheran Church, located on West Main Street in Ringtown The funeral service, officiated by Rev Craig Zimmerman, will begin at 11:00 AM Eileen will be laid to rest next to her husband Donald at the Mt Zion Cemetery following the service In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ringtown Area Library in honor of Eileen's passion for reading and community enrichment The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, is honored to assist Eileen's family during their time of need www ringtownfuneral com To to the family or in memory of Eileen Teter, please

John E. Rumbel, a well known resident of Ringtown, passed away peacefully at home on November 23,2023, at the age of 69. Born in the former Locust Mountain Hospital, Shenandoah, John was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Trexler) Rumbel. His roots in the local community were deep, and he leaves behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. John was a life long self-employed farmer who worked the land with passion and dedication. He operated Rumbel's Roadside Stand for many years with his family, where he became well-known for his exceptional apple cider. Best known to his friends as Henry, John often said he never worked a day in his life because he loved what he did. John, being community minded, was always available to plow snow for Union Township and collect Christmas trees for the Ringtown boy scouts. John enjoyed driving tractor trailer and hauling christmas trees for sale; another passion he passed along to his son. After his retirement, he could be found enjoying the farm with his grandchildren on the golf cart. He enjoyed having coffee and adventuring with his pal Michael Kravetz. A dedicated member of the Aurand Memorial United Church of Christ in Ringtown, his unwavering commitment to his faith was evident through over 50 years of perfect Sunday School attendance. During his younger days, John was a member of the church bowling league, a member of the Ringtown Fire Company, and active in the forestry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles A Rumbel, and by his sister and brother in-law Catherine and Roger Shoup. John is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Fetterolf)Rumbel, along with his children, Myles John Rumbel, John David Rumbel, Rebecca Letta (Rumbel) Hoffman and Emily Rose Rumbel. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren to cherish his memory, Noah Rumbel, Noel Rumbel, Raegan Rumbel, Ridge Rumbel, Johanna Hoffman and Tucker Hoffman, along with his sister, Esther Mastauskas and nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30th at 11 AM in the Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street in Ringtown. Relatives are friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday, November 29th, from 5-9 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, and again on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Faye Edna Smick passed away into God's loving arms on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born June 24th, 1940, on her family farm in Mainville, a daughter of Clifford and Geneva (Fisher) Parr. Faye resided in Zion Grove with her beloved husband David William Smick, who passed away in December of 2017. They were married since October 10, 1959, and had one son Dave Allen Smick, wife of Janet Smick of Zion Grove. She has one granddaughter Kimberly Faye (Smick) Jones wife of Raymond J Jones. Faye was blessed with two great grandchildren Olivia and Trevor and two step great grandchildren, Crystal (York) Laubach and Bryan Snyder. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob, and Ralph and is survived by a brother Fred. Faye worked as a waitress for over 20 years at the Bloomsburg Elks club. She often joked that her hearing loss was from listening to the big bands play while she worked. She loved her family and her church, the Davis Chapel. She enjoyed gardening and planting large flower beds. In her younger years she enjoyed camping with her husband and son in the back of an International Scout. Faye and her granddaughter enjoyed traveling and had lots of adventures traveling to various states, she was her granddaughter's best friend. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service which will be held on Thursday evening, October 19th at 7:30 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. Joan Knipe, 92, a resident of Ringtown, passed away in the comfort of her home on September 23, 2023. Joan was born in Ringtown on August 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Hinderliter) Stravinsky. She was a graduate of the former RIngtown High School and worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, but was always a homemaker at heart. Sh voluntered for over 29 years with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program in Pottsville, where she donated countless hours crocheting numerous hats, mittens and lap throws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon 'Gordy" Knipe in September of 1996. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Pauline Ann Brocious, a brother Thomas Stravinsky, a sister Rita Hart and a step sister, Betty (Kline) Lindenmuth. She is survived by her son, Robert Knipe, Ringtown, a son in law, Robert Brocious, Ohio, grandchildren James Brocious and his wife Rachael and Amy, wife of Glen Johnston, along with three great grandchildren, Brianna, wife of ANdrew Hunter, Brennan Brocious and Nate Weisbarth. Nieces and nephews also survive. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 29th at 10 AM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 PM and again on Friday morning from 9-10 AM, prior to the service. Virginia "Ginny" Rumbel, RN, peacefully passed away at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community at the age of 70, in the prescence of her husband Paul and her brother Ted, on Sunday, August 13th, 2023. She was born on February 13, 1953, in Danville, Pennsylvania, to her loving parents, Theodore and Millie (Kline) Ambrose, both of whom preceded her in death. Ginny's life was one of service and dedication, a testament to her compassionate and caring nature. She began her educational journey at North Schuylkill High School and later pursued her passion for nursing, graduating from the Allentown School of Nursing. Her career as a Registered Nurse spanned decades, during which she made a profound impact on the lives of countless patients. She began her journey in various locations throughout the area before settling into a long tenure as an Emergency Room nurse at the former Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville. Later, she continued her dedicated service as a nursing supervisor at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community until her retirement. Ginny was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Ringtown and had an adventurous spirit and a love for travel that took her to various tropical destinations. Ginny is survived by her husband, Paul Rumbel, along with her two children, Rhonda Kuzio of Frackville, and AJ Reczkowski of Massachusetts and by her brother, Ted Ambrose, and his wife Terry of Frackville. Three grandchildren also survive. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing, which will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 7:00 PM, led by Rev. Craig Zimmerman. Ginny will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery during private family services. Clayton Drumheller, a remarkable man whose life was defined by service, family, and cherished pastimes, peacefully passed away on August 11, 2023, at the Gino Merli Veterans Center. He was 95 years old. Born on July 26, 1928, in Shenandoah, Clayton was the son of Elmer and Margaret (Morerello) Drumheller. He grew up in the Zion Grove and Nuremberg area, where he forged strong connections within the community. Clayton's journey through life was marked by dedication and commitment. He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War, a testament to his unwavering patriotism. After returning from service, he established himself as a clerk, working at Acme Markets until his well-deserved retirement. A man of diverse talents and interests and a jack of all trades, he was a true artisan, firing ceramics in his own kiln and creating beautiful pieces. His love for creativity extended to his captivating model train collection and display. Clayton's also attended the United Methodist Church in Nuremberg and was was a member of the Nuremberg American Legion, Post 699. A devoted husband to his late wife, Shirley Drumheller, he is survived by his sons, Dennis and Randy, both of Zion Grove. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Jamie, Samantha, and Madison, as well as his five great-grandchildren, with another one on the way. Clayton's is survived by sisters, Doris Bennie of Arizona and Ruth Shuman of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Carter, John Drumheller, Donald Drumheller, Allen Drumheller, and Selena Bond-Brumitt. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a graveside Memorial service, which will be followed by committal with Military Honors at the Nuremberg Cemetery on Monday, August 21st, 2023, at 11 AM.
