Aurelio Quintero, age 88, late of Hegewisch, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born on November 30, 1936 in Los Herreras, Durango, Mexico. Aurelio was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his wife Lucila Quintero, son Aurelio Quintero Jr. , parents Manuel Quintero and Juliana Chavez Quintero, as well as his siblings Gilberto, Romaldo, Jesus, Maria and Felix; Aurelio leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Aurelio is survived by his children: Efrain (Rosavelia) Quintero, Fidel Quintero, Vilma Quintero, Edith (Fidel) Herrera, Lucila Quintero and Cynthia (Jose) Esparza. He was a loving father who always put his family first. His children were the joy of his life. He was also a proud grandfather of twelve. Aurelio treasured spending time with his grandchildren and embraced every moment he had with them. Watching them grow brought him immense happiness and pride. In addition to his roles as a father and grandfather, Aurelio was a caring brother to Julia and Juan Angel. He cherished their bond and the memories they created together. Aurelio's warm heart extended beyond his immediate family. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends whose lives he touched with kindness and compassion.
