de Brier Jeffrey “Jeff” Craig de Brier, 57, of Columbus, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in his residence. Born March 4, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of Eric Peter deBrier and Nancy (Kuykendall) deBrier. Jeff loved his family dearly. He enjoyed watching football, and always loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. Additionally, he liked playing video games, reading comic books, and adored spending time with his cats. He is survived by two sisters: Laura (Matt) Miller of London and Jenny deBrier of Grove City; nieces Madison Miller of Cincinnati and Paige Miller of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, beginning at 3:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Anita C. Barnhart Anita C. Barnhart, 68, of Chillicothe, passed away on March 1, 2024 at OSU Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on September 11, 1955, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Anita was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shane Michael Nusser; and grandson, Dakota Nusser. Anita is survived by her sons, Shawn Nusser, of Chillicothe, and Chad Tuttle, of Wheelersburg; grandsons, Michael Nusser, Tanner Nusser, and Wesley Nusser; siblings, Gordon Barnhart, of Chillicothe, Richard (Cathy) Tuttle, of Chillicothe, and Pam Proehl, of Frankfort; several special nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished. She was a graduate of Southeastern High School Class of 1973 and retired from Adena Health System after over 20 years of service. Anita adored spending time with her family and loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Stephen Ford officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry. Russell L. Weaver, age 79, peacefully passed away in his home on Friday March 1, 2024. Russell was born in Loraine, Ohio on May 22, 1944 to Kenneth and Florence (Jamison) Weaver who precede him in death. Russell was blessed with his first marriage to Betty Rachlin, and the two had Little Rusty. He later married the love of his life for 52 years, Sharon (Sherer) Weaver who survives him. Russell is survived by his sons Rusty (Mandi) Weaver, Donny Miner, and Todd Miner, his daughter Dustan (Jeff) Briley, and his sister-in-law Jan (Wagner) Weaver. Russell is also survived by his grandchildren Dominique Crowder, Jordan Weaver, Justan Weaver, Sinuwa Weaver, Braeden Weaver, Ricky Miner, Carrie Miner, Megan Miner, Rileigh Miner, Ryan Briley, Emily Briley, and Morgan Briley, as well as eight (8) great-grandchildren, and two (2) great-great-grandchildren. Russell is preceded in death by his brother Ron Weaver, his sister Brenda Long, and his nephews Greg Weaver, and Gary Weaver. Russell was known as a man of his word who would happily give anyone the shirt off his back, and was even known to do so. Everyone who knew him called him a friend, and they all have amazing stories to share about the time they spent with him. Russell was a disabled Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Army for two years. Rusty also had a love for animals, and was a man who lived and died the way he wanted. His words to all of you would be “Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.” Visitation will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove on Wednesday March 6, 2024, from 2pm until 4pm and from 6pm until 8pm. Additional visitation will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home from 10am until 11am on Thursday March 7, 2024. Funeral services will at 11am with Pastor Mark Miles presiding. Burial following immediately after at Cairo Eastside Cemetery in Cairo, Oh. Memorial contribution may be made to the family.

Josiah Rashawn Isiah Sims-Staff was born to Erika Sims and Terry Stiff on December 28, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio. He was affectionately known as JoJo to his family and friends. He departed this life on February 20, 2024, as a result of a horrific and senseless violent act. Josiah attended Columbus city schools where he was in the tenth grade. He had aspirations of someday becoming a professional rapper. Some of his recordings are on YouTube. JoJo was a youth member of St. Mark A.M.E. Church. He was going to learn to play the drums under the instruction of Reverend Doretha Martin. Josiah loved going to the Martin Luther King Library every day where he played video games on the computer. His favorite game was “Call of Duty”. He also enjoyed hanging out with his cousins and uncles. A special thanks to his counselors who provided guidance and took him to city parks and restaurants. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Stiff; great-grandmothers, Frances Hicks and Marsue Rutledge; great-great-grandfather, George Sims, Sr.; great-aunt, Betty Allen; great-uncle, David Dennis; aunts, Marricha Johnson and Brithne Ray; uncle, Jonas Sims; and second cousin, James Bishop.
