Ingleside - Edward Roy Schwartz passed away September 6, 2023. He was 77. Edward was born May 18, 1946 in Quincy, California to Jean Mae (Wooldridge) and Roy Edward Schwartz. He was a resident of Aransas Pass approximately 3 years, and former resident of Orange Grove. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a proud father, grandfather, patriot and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding in death are a son: David Schwartz; and grandson: Clay Byrom. Survivors include his daughters: Samantha Hernandez (R. J. Vittonel) and Sideania Ridley, all from Aransas Pass, Texas; Amy Schwartz (Mark Dirks) from Kansas; grandchildren: Angelina Hernandez, Kaley Hernandez, Natalie Hernandez, Joseph Robles, Isabella Robles, Daniel Harris, Maya Warren, Rheannon Harris, Sara Adame, Layla Warren, Emma Warren, Rebecca Ridley, Johnny Greenwood, David Greenwood, Robert Summit, Brandi Summit, Andrew Schwartz and Alaura Moore. Destiny was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 16, 1999 to Ida (Dominguez) and Gerald Leiba, Sr. Destiny was the most amazing-loving daughter and sister. She was a beautiful and brilliant young woman who cared deeply for her family and friends. Her love for life and perseverance lead her to be a successful young business owner. If you ever got the chance to meet her, you were blessed. She left an impression on every induvial who crossed her path. Her light shined bright. Destiny had a fun-loving spirit and kind heart. Sinton - Jack Glynn McClanahan passed away December 4, 2023. He was 71. Jack was born August 9, 1952 in Morgan City, Louisiana to Mildred Lucille (Jackson) and Virgil Alva McClanahan. He was a resident of Sinton for 44 years and a former resident of Premont, Texas. Jack was a member of the Borden Street Church of Christ in Sinton. He was dedicated to God and country, having served in the National Guard. Jack was a known presence in town, often greeting customers and present most mornings at one of the Good & Crisp Restaurants he and his wife, Donita, owned and operated. Jack was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding in death are his parents: Virgil and Mildred McClanahan; and sister: Julie Storm. Taft - Oralia Fuentes Elizardo passed away December 1, 2023. She was 85. Oralia was born November 8, 1938 in Harlingen, Texas to Diamantina (Longoria) and Justo Fuentes. She was a lifelong resident of Taft. Oralia was previously employed by Holiday Inn Emerald Beach. She will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who kept a tidy home, someone who loved to clean, and made the best flour tortillas. Oralia was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband: Praxedis "Junior" Elizardo; and parents: Justo and Diamantina Fuentes. Mathis - James Pierce Beck passed away December 2, 2023. He was 67. James was born March 27, 1956 in Cuero, Texas to Frances (McFarland) and Robert Beck. He was currently a resident of Mathis, Texas since 2009, and former resident of Rockport, Texas. He began his law enforcement career of over 22 years in Bishop, Texas where he was employed as Deputy Constable while going to school. He then rose to the rank of Lead Investigator with the Aransas County Sheriff's Department. James retired in October 2021 from the San Patricio County Sheriff's Department where he was employed as a Deputy Sheriff. James also served his country as a Veteran of the US Air Force. James was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, great- grandpa, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife: Michele R. Beck; parents: Robert and Frances Beck; and brother: Barton Beck. Abraham Villerreal Salcido passed away in Great Falls, MT on November 2, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born on June 20, 1948, to Julia Villerreal Salcido and Miguel Garcia Salcido in Sinton, TX. Abraham attended college for automotive mechanics and body work. He worked in the autobody industry, as well as carpentry and construction. He was in the Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972. Abraham was a member of the Marine Corps League, VFW, and DAV. He also volunteered for the Great Falls Treatment Justice Court, Vets for Vets, and the Grace Home Veteran's Center. He was also assistant lead for Healing Waters. Abraham enjoyed assisting with the building of fly-fishing rods and flies which were used to gather donations for veterans. Abraham is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Samantha A. and Emma J. ; sons, Abraham J. and Frank M. ; sisters, Julia Villerreal, Aurora V. Hensley, and Mary Driggers; brother, Miguel Salcido, Jr. ; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia Villerreal Salcido and Miguel Garcia Salcido; grandson, Justin Miguel Salcido; and brothers, Joe V. Salcido, Chris Salcido, and Martin Salcido.
