Edward Robert Carl “Fast Eddie”, 79 years old of Wadsworth, IL lived life on his own terms right up until he passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was born November 18, 1944 to the late Virginia Kopp in Chicago, IL. On March 11, 1972, Ed was united in marriage with Arlene Davis in Chicago, IL. Ed worked and retired as a CNC machinist at Abbott Laboratories. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding and building Harleys while making many friends along the way. Above all things, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Survivors include, his wife of 50 years, Arlene; daughter, Heather (Scott) Kearney; grandchildren, Hendrix, Jacob, and Anna Kearney. Barbara J. Abboud, 85, of Wadsworth, IL, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024. Barb was born December 16, 1938 in Houston Texas. She graduated from Warren Township Highschool with the class of 1957 and went on to Northern Illinois University for teaching. She married Louis Abboud on August 20, 1960 at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan, IL. Barb and Louie were involved with the Christian Family Movement and Barb was an active member of the Lake County Homemakers Society. Barb taught at Spaulding school and then spent many years working side-by-side with her husband operating the Harbor Pharmacy in Winthrop Harbor. Barb was an active member in her church community. She was a member of St Patrick's Church in Wadsworth where she served as a CCD Teacher, Liturgy Commission, Marriage Preparation, and was an active leader of RCIA for at least 30 years. Barb was also an active member of the Winthrop Harbor Lioness Club. She was a cherished wife and beloved mother of four daughters. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Abboud; daughters, Audrey (Bruce) Morris, Amy (John) Hogan, Renee Thornborough, and Julie (David Immel) Abboud; grandchildren, Stephanie, Bradley, Louiza (James), Sean (Melinda) , Kate (Justin), Sarah, Claire and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Seanna, Kip, Ace and Lettie; and a sister, Diana (Donald) Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Martin Marin; sister, Juanita; twin, Beatrice; and son-in-law, Daniel Thornborough. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, IL. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.

Gary Leith Eppers, 77, of Wadsworth, IL passed away on September 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on September 21, 1946 in Waukegan, IL the son of Leith and Leona Eppers. Gary was a firefighter/paramedic, for the Zion Fire/Rescue Department until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed spending time with his sons, fishing, yard work, and he loved his dogs. Over the years, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to being co-owner of a successful sign business, ostrich rancher, and integral part of the family farm in Antioch, IL with 2,000 acres under cultivation. He is survived by his loving wife, Candace Eppers; sons, Alan (Amy) Eppers, and Glen (Corinna) Eppers; grandchildren, Emily and Kelsey; sisters, Janet and Diane; nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his parents; and numerous family and friends. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 4:00 p. m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p. m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL 60099. Innichment will take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.

She was born September 16, 1948, in Springfield, IL the daughter of the late Don and Sophia (nee Bielak) Jones, living in Wilmot, WI before settling in Wadsworth, IL in 1969. Deborah was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wadsworth, IL and enjoyed: camping, cooking, traveling to Michigan, walks along the lake, and especially being with her grandchildren. On August 16, 1969, she married Clayton Hauser at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wadsworth, IL. Survivors include: her husband of 53 years Clayton; three children: Matthew (Lynn) Hauser of Brighton, WI, Keith (Stacy) Hauser of Wilmot, WI, and Karen (Jason) Fell of Salem, WI; five grandchildren: Jacob, Haley, Austin, Rilynn, and Clayton; a sister Carol (Bob) Stryjewski of Antioch, IL; sister-in-law Kathy Jones of Wheatland, WI; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amanda and brother Jimmy Jones. A Celebration of Deborah's Life will be held from 1PM until 5PM Saturday March 18, 2023, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002, with a prayer service commencing at 4PM.
