Edward Gary Obituary

Edward Llewellyn Gary II, 77, of Jonesboro, passed away early Tuesday morning. Born in Queens, New York to Edward Llewellyn Gary and Ruth Beck Gary on February 21, 1946, his family moved to Florida when Ed was a child. He graduated from the University of Miami and continued graduate work in the Nurse Anesthetist Program at Wake Forest in North Carolina. Ed worked as a CRNA in Tupelo, Mississippi; Carbondale, Illinois; Ormond Beach, Florida; Daytona Beach, Florida; and, most recently, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Ed leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Jane Ann Dudenbostel Gary; son, Edward (Ted), his wife Chelsea and her son Austen of Florida; daughter, Tara Ann Gary Anthony, her husband Eric and their children (Ed's grandchildren) Baker Edward Anthony and Griffin Kyle Anthony of Jonesboro; and his daughter Shermaine Gary Lewis and her husband Matt of Florida; brother-in-law Robert E. (Bobby) Dudenbostel, Jr. of Illinois; and brothers, Ron, Alan, John, and their families of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded his in laws, Dr. Robert E. and Audrey Dudenbostel. Ed was an AVID duck hunter and a supporter of Ducks Unlimited his entire adult life. He spent many weekends cold and wet in duck blinds doing what he loved best.
