Tomasa Salinas, born on December 21, 1933, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023. A loving wife, steadfast homemaker, and caring matriarch, Tomasa was the example of loyalty and love, evident in her 65-year union with her beloved husband.
At the heart of their bond was evidently a deep-seated affection that began before they were even a couple. This affection blossomed into a love that saw them as constant companions, inseparable, and always together - in life's joys, challenges, and mundane moments. Together, they nurtured a soft spot for nature, sharing in the joy of gardening and a unique fascination with birds. They also toiled side by side in the labor fields, a testament to their shared resilience and determination. Their love for treasure hunting was evident, as they enjoyed scouring garage sales and selling their finds at the flea market. Tomasa was a traditional woman, holding in high esteem the values of discipline and family. Her great-grandchildren were her heart's delight, and every moment spent playing and laughing with them was cherished. While cooking might not have been her favorite activity, Tomasa had a knack for creating the best burgers. Her love for nature was profound, mirrored in her penchant for landscapes, plants, crocheting, and sewing, hobbies that offered her delight and tranquil moments of creativity. Tomasa Salinas will be remembered as a beacon of family values, love, and discipline.
Survived by her three children, Alma (Danny) Tate, Adolfo Salinas, Anna Belia (Gustavo) Guajardo; seven grandchildren, David Cody Wright, Edward Justin Wright, Jennifer Marie Hernandez, Arcelia Elizabeth Gonzalez, Alejandra Salinas, Amanda Genove Lopez, Gustavo Guajardo II; ten great grandchildren; many more family and friends.
