Edna Landis Obituary

Mrs. Edna E. Landis, age 91 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord April 21, 2023 at Walking Horse Meadows, Clarksville, TN with her loving family by her side. She was born in Clarksville, TN in the Kenwood Community the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Samuel and Leila Walker Killebrew. Edna loved the Lord and was a member of Rose Valley Church, Indian Mound, TN for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Norman E. Landis; sisters, Cynthia Killebrew Meacham, Vera Thomas Killebrew Mohon, Margaret Killebrew Scarpuzza, Mary Killebrew Burke, and Nora Lee Killebrew Strauser. Edna met the love of her life on July 4 and on December 2, 1949 they were married. That was the beginning of a lifetime of happiness and many adventures to follow. As the supportive wife of a military husband, together with their three beautiful girls, they traveled the world over. After retirement they moved to their cabin in Dover, TN on Lake Barkley/Cumberland River. There she enjoyed her flower gardens and cooking for her family gatherings. In that little home on the river, their, they made many precious memories with family and dear friends. She is survived by her beautiful daughters; Karen E. Brown of Huntersville, NC, Janet L. Rudolph (Johnny) of Clarksville, TN, Norma L. Parker (Frank) of Knoxville, TN. , 7 precious grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rose Valley Church, Indian Mound, TN on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 beginning at 1:30 pm and continuing until the hour of the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Walking Horse Meadows for the love, care and special attention given to their sweet mother.
