Edna Dedrick Obituary

Edna Dedrick, 71, of Vinton, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Per Edna's request, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Edna was born December 20, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Willard and Patricia (Reilly) Kies. She attended school in Cedar Rapids. On October 3, 1970, Edna was united in marriage to Theodore (Ted) Dedrick in Cedar Rapids. Together they made their home in the Vinton area where Edna enjoyed taking care of her family, baking and sewing. She also loved going to flea markets and yard sales with Ted, watching birds and enjoying her flower garden. Edna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ted; son, Ted Dedrick, Jr. ; daughter, Patricia Dedrick; four grandchildren: Jerad Miller, Nikel (Raven) Dedrick, Lucille Lindsey and Lawrin Mathers-Dedrick; three great-grandchildren: Kacen Miller and Fauna and Aura Dedrick; daughter-in-law, Missy Miller; and three brothers: Sonny Kies, Don Kies and Ray (Mary) Kies.
