Edna Watford Amerson, age 77 died at home on Monday, June 20, 2022. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p. m. Wednesday, June 22nd in the Lamar Chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at her residence, 449 Pine St. Lamar, SC 29069. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Born in Darlington on November 10, 1944, Edna was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elise Spires Watford. She loved working in her garden and doing yard work. Edna was a loving mother, was known for her strong will, and was the best "Mae Mae" her grandchildren and great-grandchildren could ask for. Edna attended Christian Pathway Church in Lamar. Surviving are her two daughters, Wannette Amerson and Sandy A. Harrell; grandchildren, Jessica (Rego) Phillips, Phillip Porch, Brittany Amerson, Tiffany Harrell, Billy Poole; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Derrick, Devin, Joshua, Amari, Hunter, and Carter. She is also survived by her siblings, Dean Sutton, Jean Finch, Mency Roberts, Barbara (Don) Welch, Jimmy (Tony) Watford, Arthur "JR" (Barbara) Watford, Donnie Watford, and Billy (Pat) Watford; and many nieces and nephews.
