She moved to Guymon from Gulfport, MS in April of 2022. She was a member of the Sunset Lane Baptist Church and worked for JBS packing plant in Cactus, Texas. Nona Gayle (Gribble) Cole, 68, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at her home in Guymon. The daughter of Donald John and Wynona Bell (Reed) Gribble, Nona was born November 11, 1954 in Guymon. She attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the GHS Class of 1973. She then attended Panhandle State University, where she earned her bachelor degree. Nona was married to Lester "Chuck" Cole in Clovis, New Mexico in 1984. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1999. Nona worked for Heartland Healthcare in Clovis. She returned to Guymon to help care for her father following the death of her mother. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by uncles, Carroll and Leonene Gribble and Dale Gribble of Guymon, along with many other extended family and special friends. Graveside memorial services will be conducted Friday morning, November 10th at 10:00 a. m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. David Player officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Luis Y. Companioni Borges, 55, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 in Hansford County, Texas from injuries received in a vehicle accident. The son of Luis Companioni and Amparo de la Caridad Borges, Luis was born July 10, 1968 in Ciego de Avila, Cuba. He moved to Guymon from Dimmitt, Texas in 2020. He worked as a truck driver for Triple F Trucking. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother of Cuba; two sons: Harold Luis Companioni of Guymon and Liban Companioni of Cuba; two daughters: Odany de la Caridad of Spain and Mehily Companioni of Guymon; and one brother, Yoel Companioni Borges of Cuba. A visitation will be at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p. m. with cremation following. Candy Sharkey, 64 year old lifelong resident of Guymon, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Norman Regional Healthcare Center. Candy Delon Perkins was born to Urschel and Iva Jo (Brooks) Perkins on October 20, 1958, in Hereford, Texas. She attended Tyrone Public Schools graduating with the class of 1977. Candy was united in marriage to William Sharkey on December 5, 1980, in Guymon, Oklahoma. She worked in the family custom cutting business, Urschel Perkins and Daughters Custom Harvesting. They traveled to many states including Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Idaho, Colorado and South Dakota. Candy was a lifelong panhandle resident until moving to Blanchard, Oklahoma a couple years ago. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal and paternal grandparents, two uncles: Warren Brooks and Gary Brooks. She is survived by one daughter: Erica Dickerson and husband Derek of Blanchard, Oklahoma, one son: Kevin Sharkey and wife Maribel Mesta of Guymon, Oklahoma, mother: Iva Jo Perkins of Hooker, Oklahoma, two sisters: Sue Farley and husband Spot of Hooker, Oklahoma and Teresa Rhodes and husband Bill of Ardmore, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren: Payton, Lucas, Tucker, Berkley, Kai, Noe and Isael, nieces and nephews Mike Brown and wife Amanda, Barbra Benton and husband Jeremy, Brandon Rhodes, Brittany Spears and husband Nathan, ex-husband William Sharkey and two special friends Richard and Sharon Martinez. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 1:00 P. M to 8:00 P. M. with family present from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Henson~Novak Funeral Home in Guymon. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Henson~Novak Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A. Harold Eugene Leisure, 66, of Lubbock, Texas formerly of Guymon passed away September 7, 2023 at his home. The son of Eugene and Myrtle (Allison) Leisure, he was born June 11, 1956 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Harold attended Guymon schools and was a member of the Class of 1974. Harold worked for the City of Guymon until he moved to Lubbock. He then worked at A-Rock and McLanes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, derbies and playing games. He also enjoyed fixing cars, spending time with family and helping out neighbors with lawnwork. He was preceded in death by his niece and great nephew, Laura and Matthew Edge; two step-mothers: Carol Leisure and Gladys Galanos-Leisure; and grandparents, Slim and May Allison and Gladys Leisure. Survivors include his mother, Myrtle Leisure of Guymon; father, Gene Leisure of Lubbock, Texas; his companion, Linda Leisure of Lubbock; two daughters: Kayla and husband, Allen Johnson of Decatur, Texas and Kassandra and husband, Brian Orman of Lafeyette, Colorado; grandchildren: Maci, Avery, Henry and Karlie; three sisters: Kay Roland of Amarillo, Patricia Hoffman of Texhoma and Nancy Romero of Texhoma; three brothers: David York and wife, Christy and Roy York all of Henrietta, Texas and Stephen Palacia of Lubbock; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other extended family and many special friends, including Troy Young of Lubbock. Clinton Roland Beebe, III, passed away Thursday morning, September 14, 2023 at his home in Guymon. The son of Clinton R. Beebe, II and Elspeth (McRoberts) Beebe, he was born December 17, 1971 in Wichita, Kansas. Charlie retired a Staff SGT after 23 years of service with the U. S. Army. He moved to Guymon from Colorado in 2016. He was united in marriage to Kittie Haylett on September 18, 2017 in Guymon. He is survived by his wife, Kittie Beebe of the home, a son and daughter, one brother, Chris Beebe of Killeen, Texas, one sister, Kristie Bunge of Colorado and two uncles, Jack and Mike. Family inurnment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home.
