Eben William LaRoeChamp went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2023. He was born in Dallas, Texas on September 1, 1930, and raised in McKinney, Texas. In 1958 he opened S & L Automatic Transmission where he served the people of Garland, Texas for 47 years. He is preceded in death by his father Jack LaRoe, mother Lois LaRoe and brother Jackie Laroe. He is survived by his sister Patricia LaRoe, daughter Trudy Osborn and grandson Osborn. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!Service will be held graveside at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas on Wednesday October ww, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. Patty Ann Nicholson, 78 of Garland, TX went home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Saturday, November 26, 2023. She was born February 10, 1945 at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, TX. She is survived by her husband Jerry Nicholson of Garland, son Clint Wood & wife Paula of Rowlett, daughter Jill White & husband Matt of Rowlett, step sons Brandon Nicholson of Denton & Aaron Nicholson of Prosper, grandchildren Luke Wood, Makenzie White, Jenna White & Mason White & step grandchildren Tanner Nicholson, Abbey Nicholson, Cooper Nicholson, Hudson Nicholson & Scarlett Nicholson. She is also survived by her half-sisters Shelli Walker, Bobbie Gideons & Patty Koenig, half-brothers Richard Gideons & Joe Creswell & niece Tami Church & nephew Eddie Creswell & their families. She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Creswell, mother, Dorothy Burkart, brother, Dennis Creswell, grandparents William & Alma Cook, Clyde Roland & Ethel Creswell & her aunt Patty Gross who was her namesake. Patty was a faithful longtime member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church where she sang in the choir & recently joined First Baptist Church Rowlett to be closer to her family. She accepted the Lord as her savior on May 25, 1975. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1963 & was a member of the BA 63 reunion committee. In 2015 she was in class 46 with the Garland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association & Region 2 Texas Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. She worked for many years in the insurance industry & retired in 2011 from Stonehill PRM Realty. Patty enjoyed shopping, sewing, camping & boating in her younger days, listening to southern gospel music & going to gospel concerts, playing chicken foot with her friends, cooking & baking, playing bingo & bunko & collecting precious moments. Patty loved her husband, Jerry, who she was married to for 13 years. They were best friends & always enjoyed doing life together side by side. In the most recent years, Jerry devoted all of his time & love being her faithful caretaker. She loved her family, her dogs Raven & Dottie & will always be remembered by everyone who loved her. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Williams Memorial Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will immediately follow at Garland Memorial Park. Mike Ramiro Garza, 85 years old passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, at Garland Serenity Home Care, Garland, Texas. He was born July 7, 1938, in Brownsville, TX before the family moved to Raymondville, TX, where Mike grew up and went to school. He joined the Air Force in 1955, serving for 12 years while stationed in Waco, TX, Anchorage Alaska and Wadena AFS in Minnesota. After his service, Mike lived in San Diego, CA from 1970 to 1987, working as an Animal Control Officer for the County. In 1987 he returned to live in Dallas, TX. Mike was a big Elvis Presley and James Dean fan. He loved music, writing and recording some of his own songs throughout his life. He was also a lifetime fan of The Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, never missing any of their games, He got to see The Texas Rangers win the World Series 2023 before his death and was thrilled that the team won after so many years. Mike is survived by his siblings: Margarita Martinez; Reynaldo Garza; Delia Garza Urbina; Eva Garza Contreras; and Lucille Garza Hernandez. His loving son, James Dean Garza and his two grandchildren, Michael David Garza and Zoe Alexis Garza. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Nieves P. Garza, his mother, Lucia Santos Garza, and siblings Guadalupe Martinez, Genoveva Soria, Carlos Garza, Ofelia Case, Oralia Cantu and Joe Garza.
