Duane Nearman, 91, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will be 11:00 a. m. , Friday, September 15, 2023, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to Our Savior's Lutheran Television Foundation, the Humane Society, or the Whittier Student Services Fund. Additional obituary information will be available in the coming days. A recording of the service will be available by Saturday.

Linda Caviezel, loving mother and sister, died December 5th, 2023 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls with her family by her side. She was 69 years young. Memorial service will be at 5:30 pm Monday, December 11, at Miller Funeral Home Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD with the family present to greet friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Linda Lorraine (Wagaman) Caviezel was born on October 7th, 1954 in Chamberlain, South Dakota to Emil Wagaman and Frances Evelyn Guisinger Wagaman. Linda did many things for work over the years, mostly centered around helping others. In the early days, she had an in-home daycare, she later worked at the Wonder Bread Storefront that was here in Sioux Falls, for the VOA, and at the Avera Hospital gift shop. Linda loved to be able to put a smile on the face of all those she came in contact with. On July 27th, 1973, Linda was united in marriage with her husband Jerome Allen Caviezel. Linda and Jerome lived back and forth between Huron, SD and Sioux Falls, SD before finally settling down on West 10th Street in Sioux Falls. Linda and Jerome focused heavily on raising their three children after finding their home in Sioux Falls. Family was everything to Linda. Linda and Jerome often traveled to go camping and fishing with their children and grandchildren. In Linda's younger years, she was involved in Civil Air Patrol, and was even a Senior Squadron Commander, as well as several of her children. Linda loved going out to Snake Creek in Platte, SD with Jerome. Linda proudly shared her love of cooking with her children and grandchildren and even used these camping trips to teach them all how to cook over an open flame. Linda was a big believer in food and meal times bringing the family together. Linda and Jerome proudly displayed photos around their home of their children, grandchildren, and family. Linda always encouraged family and friends to stop by and visit. Linda had a very loving and motherly personality and would always do what she could to show those she cared about how much they always meant to her. Thankful for having shared her life are her children Travis Caviezel and his wife Jessica Jonnes-Caviezel, Carrie Caviezel-Kimball and her husband Eric Kimball, Brian Caviezel; four grandchildren, Taylor Kimball, Tyler Kimball and his wife Keera Stanley-Kimball, Matthew and Kahlan Caviezel; She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol, and her husband Jerome.Show more
