"Duane Wesley Hall was born on August 25, 1936, in Shelton, Nebraska, the son of Wesley and Margaret (Schepers) Hall. Duane was a 1954 graduate of Lexington High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Supply Specialist from 1958 to 1960. He began his career at Home Federal Savings and Loan Association in Lexington in 1960. Duane married Dona Beth Margritz on October 15, 1961, in Lexington, Nebraska. They moved to Nebraska City, Nebraska, in 1963 where Duane began a long career as President and CEO of Midwest Federal Savings and Loan. Four daughters were born to this union and there are now nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In 1991 they moved to Harlan, Iowa, where Duane was the manager of Town and Country Credit Union. A move in 1993 took them to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Duane served as President of the University and Community Federal Credit Union. He retired in 2005 and they moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Throughout his life, Duane was very community minded. At various times, he was active in and served in leadership roles of the Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and the Elks Club. He was elected to the Nebraska City Board of Education where he served as President. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board of Topeka. Duane and Dona were lifelong members of the First United Methodist Church. Duane enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing, and attending Dance Club with Dona. He was a devoted family man and loved to beat everyone at cards. He will be remembered for his sage advice, unwavering support, and booming laugh. Duane is survived by his four daughters: Deanna (Tom) Tirrell, of Tulsa, OK; Denise Martineau, of Broken Arrow, OK; Deborah (John) Chapin, of Neenah, WI; and Donette Hall, of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren include Alex (Sarah) Tirrell; Maggie Tirrell; Kylie Martineau; Payge Martineau; Sydney (Lane) Hodge; Becca (Josh) Esser; Libbi (Josh) DeLaPaz; Isaac Chapin; and Ruby Hall. Great-grandchildren include Ava and John Kin, Wesley and Griffin Esser, and Dona DeLaPaz. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Margaret, and by his beloved wife Dona in 2019. "In Loving Memory of Regena Schnackenberg Regena went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born October 5, 1934, in Brentwood Arkansas to parents Nealie and Hazel (Talley) Fine. She later moved to West Fork, Arkansas where she grew up and graduated from high school. After graduation, she worked at First Christian Church as a Secretary as well as attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1956. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked at ONG and US Steel. While in Tulsa, Regena met the love of her life Alfred "Al" Schnackenberg in 1956. They were married August 16, 1958 in West Fork, Arkansas. They resided in Tulsa and spent 56 wonderful years together. Regena gave birth to her first daughter, Linda, in August 1961 and then in May 1963 gave birth to her second daughter Diane. She became a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in 1958 where she was active in serving in many areas. She taught Sunday School, served on the Board of Evangelism, was a member of the LWML, and was in the Sunshine Circle where she brought flowers to church members in the hospital. She especially loved to sing in the church choir and loved delivering Meals On Wheels with Al. After having her daughters Linda and Diane, Regena was a stay at home mom until she started working part-time at Sears Department Store on the sales floor in 1969. She eventually moved to a full-time position at Sears in the Administrative Office. She stayed at Sears for 28 years until her retirement in 1997. After they built the new Sears Store, she had the honor of cutting the ribbon on opening day in 1998. Regena is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Delford Fine, Sister Earlene Carter and her husband Al Schnackenberg who passed away in 2015. She is survived by her daughter Linda Young and her spouse Kelly, daughter Diane Williams and her spouse Steve; Grandchildren Brandon Williams and his spouse Nicole, Ashton Lipshetz and her spouse Brett, Courtney Sauls and her spouse Garrett, and Casey Young and his spouse Jessica; Great Grandchildren Jaden, Noah and Mason Williams, Harrison and Graham Sauls, Isaac and Amelia Young, and Wyatt Lipshetz. Regena will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Elizabeth Jones

"Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Stockham was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on June 5, 1940. She grew up on her family's wheat and dairy farm in Lyons, Kansas, where she helped the family by collecting eggs and tending to the chickens. She had a fun and loving childhood, running around the beautiful family land barefoot, climbing trees expertly, and lounging on the large sleeping porch. She was an animal lover, and in addition to her pet pig Rusty, she kept four pet squirrels in the home. She enjoyed playing with her siblings and had a fondness for light troublemaking with them. She and her sister Marie took snow sleds to the top of the slanted chicken house roof and attempted to sled off, miscalculating their adventure, and ended up buried in snow at the bottom of the chicken house. They used their sleds to dig their way out. She and Marie also once found themselves in a race they weren't sure they wanted to be a part of; their brothers Jim and Glenn Jr had coerced them into cardboard barrels in the garage. Once inside, the boys tipped the barrels horizontally and pushed their respective barrel down the sandy driveway. The girls remembered their hands being the only part of their bodies outside of the racing barrels, and how by the end of the race, their beat-up hands were all the evidence their mother needed to put an end to that day's shenanigans. Betty was no stranger to thinking outside the box. As a young woman, she became devoted to sunbathing, going so far as to pull a mattress out onto the top of her home's sleeping porch roof. Back then, she used iodine mixed with baby oil to soak in the sun rays. Betty had a flair for beauty and fashion, and this carried through her entire life. She also had a mind for logistics, and she worked at Lyon's Co-Op as a bookkeeper pertaining to agricultural operations. She attended and graduated from Lyon's High School in 1958. It was here that she would meet the love of her life, Dennis Jones. Betty and Dennis were married on August 13, 1960. This date was always especially meaningful to the couple because they were married on the same day as Betty's sister, Marie, at the same location (Lyon's Methodist Church). Betty wore her sister Jeri's wedding dress. Betty attended Hutchinson Jr. College and took business courses, adding to her repertoire of skills and experiences. She would work at Tulsa Public Schools in the Whitney School cafeteria and as a secretary for Oklahoma Appraisal Company. Her firstborn, a son named Bruce Allen, was born on May 31, 1961. Betty gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Jenifer Lynn Jones, on July 27, 1963. Her son lovingly remembers her as a very family-oriented mother, who had a deep sense of humor and acceptance. There was the time that, as a child, Bruce brought home snakes and dumped them onto a bed- Betty did not scream but calmly talked through the matter with him. He also remembers fondly how she accepted his long hairstyle during a time when most mothers wouldn't. In addition to loving her family, her other passions included antiquing and bird watching. Betty passed away peacefully at the Porta Caeli House at Catholic Charities on November 23, 2023. She is survived by her husband Dennis Jones (aged 84), son Bruce Allen Jones (62), daughter in law Debbra Jones (61); her sisters Rosalie Ayers, Jeri Myerley, and Marie Wilbur; her grandchildren Stephanie and Tommy Branch, Cassie Jones, Tracy and Nick Davis, Devon Shell, and David and Eva Culp; and her great-grandchildren Ben Weindorf, Bram Culp, Charlotte and William Davis. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jenifer Lynn Jones, her niece Julie Wilbur, her father Glenn Stockham, her mother Violet Stockham, and her brothers Glenn Stockham Jr. and Jim Stockham. "Emmitt Starr, age 98, long time resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life, surrounded by his loving family in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Emmitt was born September 08, 1925, to Sid and Rissie Jane (Henderson) Starr in Jasper, Arkansas. Emmitt married the love of his life Viola LaDean June 16, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were married 66 years until LaDean\u0027s passing October 07, 2017. \u0026nbsp;Emmitt would say he was still married after she passed because death did not separate his love or his commitment to her. \u0026nbsp;They had four children, Gale Edwards of Broken Arrow, Sandra McConnell of Broken Arrow, Emmitt Starr Jr. and wife Karen of Broken Arrow\u0026nbsp;and Leta Starr (deceased). \u0026nbsp; Emmitt will be dearly missed by his children: LaDenna Gale Edwards, Sandra Jane McConnell, and Emmitt Oliver Starr, Jr. and wife Karen; grandchildren LaDenna Michelle Briscoe, Virgil Ryan Edwards and wife Brandy, Mickel McConnell and wife Nichole, Stephanie McConnell, David McConnell, Farrah Seay and husband Matthew, Desiree Keomany and husband P. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War as well as the Philippine Conflict. When he entered the service during WWII he went with 5 of his brothers and two brother-in-laws. He enjoyed talking about his service with his family and other servicemen. He was a great storyteller. Most of his stories were of his childhood and his time in the service. His stories never changed and were always entertaining. The stories were enjoyed by all his family and friends. When he was with his siblings the stories really came to life. \u0026nbsp;There was so much laughter when his family was together. \u0026nbsp; Emmitt enjoyed gardening and was known to share his vegetables with his neighbors. He also loved to work on cars and build things. He was always coming up with new ideas for things he could build. When he wasn't busy doing anything else you could find him on his front porch in his porch swing enjoying the outdoors and a cup of coffee. No matter what he was doing everything came to a stop when family came to visit. \u0026nbsp;He loved his family and enjoyed it when they visited. Clifford Leon Hewitt, a lifelong resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on June 19, 1936, in Broken Arrow, OK to Virgil Leon and Oda Lavelle (Foster) Hewitt. Clifford was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work. Clifford was a proud graduate of Coweta High School in Coweta, OK. After graduation, he began his career at W&W Asphalt before moving on to John Deere Tractor, where he worked as a truck driver until his retirement. His dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. On June 21, 1971, Clifford married the love of his life, Louise Phyllis Johnson. Clifford was a man of many interests, but he particularly enjoyed tinkering around the barn and telling stories about the old days. His tales were always filled with wisdom and humor, and they will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of hearing them. Clifford is survived by his wife, Louise Hewitt of Broken Arrow, OK; his daughter, Peggy Cecil (Leonard Schumaker) of Broken Arrow, OK; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Leon and Oda Lavelle (Foster) Hewitt, his daughter, Francis Burt, his son, George Flud, his brothers, Stanley Lee Hewitt and Fred Hervill Hewitt, and his grandson, Thomas Pleasant. James "Jim" Lawrence Nimerick, Jr. , a spirited and adventurous man, was called to his heavenly home on November 24, 2023, at the age of 83, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on June 23, 1940, he was a steadfast resident of Oklahoma. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Donna (Faught) Nimerick. He was a proud father to his daughters, Levina Maswadeh and husband Abdel and Jaime Nimerick and fiance Jeremy Meador, and a doting grandfather to his nine grandchildren Mohammed and wife Laila, Eyad, Zeyad, Rayanne, and Ayahh Maswadeh, Corban and Keira Askew, Caden and Cody Norvel, 4 bonus grandchildren Logan, Lindsay, Lincoln, and Lillie Meador and two great-grandchildren Ember and Easton Seacat. The countless joyful moments and deep bonds he shared with his family were the essence of his life. He was predeceased by his father, Bill Nimerick, mother, Elma (Sneed) Nimerick, son Brian Nimerick, and siblings Shirley, Elton, and Kenneth Nimerick. Jim's accomplishments were wide-ranging. He received his foundational education at Star A Star School and graduated from Pawnee High School in 1959. His call to serve led him to the Army National Guard for eight years, followed by a distinguished 23-year tenure at the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he brought his valuable experience to the IT Department at OneOK, where he worked diligently for another 23 years. Travel, family, and his church were among his most cherished interests. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love of travel, and he took immense pride in his home's bountiful garden of tomatoes and okra. His canine companion, Daisy, never failed to put a smile on his face. A faithful servant of God, he shared rich bonds with the community at Aspen Park Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Jim's life was a testament to his spirited and adventurous disposition. His life was full, his legacy powerful, and his spirit forever etched in the hearts of his loved ones. Charles Perry Boatman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 25, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Born on August 21, 1943, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Charles led a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. Charles, known to many as a captivating storyteller and jokester, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His warm spirit and jovial nature made him a cherished companion to family and friends alike. He had a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memories with his tales and humor. Graduating as the Salutatorian from Preston High School, Charles went on to serve his country during the Vietnam War as a proud member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he pursued higher education, graduating from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Charles built a successful career as a Systems Analyst in the Oil and Gas Industry, contributing his skills and expertise to the field. His work took him to various places, including Fairbanks, Alaska, where he was involved in the construction of the Alaskan Pipeline. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charles was a devoted family man. He celebrated 61 years of marriage with his loving wife, Peggy, and was a wonderful father, too. Charles was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a great-grandfather to ten. In the midst of life's joys, Charles faced the profound sorrow of losing his daughter, Amanda (Boatman) Calico, and sons, Barney and Jonathan Boatman. His brother, Cleatus, also preceded him in death. Despite these heartbreaking losses, Charles continued to embody resilience and strength, finding solace in the love of his remaining family and friends. Charles had a passion for fishing and exploring the world through travel and cruises. His adventurous spirit and love for the great outdoors brought joy to those around him. Whether casting a line into the waters or embarking on new journeys, Charles found fulfillment in the simple pleasures of life. As we mourn the passing of Charles Perry Boatman, we remember a life well-lived-a life marked by service, laughter, and love. David Bailey

"David Alford Bailey was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on November 6, 1941, to Steve and Cleon Bailey. He passed away on November 17, 2023, after battling melanoma cancer since 2014. He was the fourth child, having three older sisters - Sally, Norma, and Ann. The family moved to the West Tulsa area when David was elementary age as his father worked for the DX Refinery. His education for elementary school was mainly at Park; Junior High was at Horace Mann; High School was at first Daniel Webster, graduating later from Central High School. David enlisted in the United States Air Force while still in high school and served 4 years. He was stationed mainly within the United States with Alaska being one of his home bases. His military assignment while flying was as the gunner on a B52 bomber. David met his wife, Patty, while he was working at a local Pizza Hut and she was attending the University of Tulsa. They were married on March 25, 1967. On June 3rd , 1969, they were blessed with a beautiful little girl, whom they named Dana LeeAnn. David and Patty both loved to travel and gamble before and after his retirement from the Thornton Family YMCA. Many of these trips were with special friends. Their travels took them to all 50 states leaving donations at many a casino. Cruises were also a must; meeting wonderful people and making lasting friendships there as well. Yet the greatest gifts David received in his life besides his daughter, were his amazing son-in-law, Rich, and two special grandsons, Dean and Drew. He was so very proud of not only his daughter, but the two boys that she and Rich had given him. They were his inspiration in life. He was proud of all their accomplishments thus far and of what was still to come. Nothing else can compare to these blessings in his life. It made his life complete! David was predeceased by his parents and his 3 sisters. "Mary Clift was born on October 7, 1938 in Reading, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Alexandria Clift. She passed from this life on November 15, 2023 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, Mary went on to further her education and received her bachelor\u0027s degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked in Arizona in the healthcare field as an RN for many years. Mary loved dogs, she had a kind heart for everyone she met. She was always smiling and showed interest the people that surrounded her. She wanted to leave everyone better than she found them. Her most favorite thing to do was to spend time with her kids and their families. She will be missed by those that were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
