He was born on April 25, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert and Mary (Lex) Vehling.Robin served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 - 1973. He worked for the Union as a Master Carpenter for 20 years. Robin loved hunting and fishing.Robin is survived by his wife, Jane Vehling; siblings, Richard Vehling, Rebecca Hansen, Ramona Calendar, Roxanne Simmons, Randy Vehling, and Rachel McKinneyHe was preceded in death by brother, Robert Vehling.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, IN.Robin will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN. Kevin Allen Simpson, 71, of Bargersville, IN passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.He was born June 5, 1952 at Coleman Hospital in Indianapolis, IN to Chester “Jake” and Geraldine J. (Lamphier) Simpson. He married Charmaine Anne (Parkhurst) Simpson on July 12, 1969 at the family residence in Bargersville, IN, she survives.Kevin attended Union School and graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1970.He retired as a machinist for General Motors Allison Transmission in 2003 after 35 years of service. He previously had worked for Peerless Pump from 1970 until 1978.Kevin was a member of Union Village Masonic Lodge #545 in Providence. He loved listening to music, fishing, and he really enjoyed playing the guitar alongside his Dad Jake, who played the fiddle. He also was a good singer who enjoyed singing Karaoke occasionally. Kevin loved to feed others. He was a great cook and enjoyed making chili, and in his younger years would barbecue ribs and burgers for the family.Survivors include his wife Charmaine Ann (Parkhurst) Simpson of Bargersville, IN, his son Kevin A. Simpson Jr. and daughter-in-law Laura Simpson of Bargersville, IN, a grandson Joseph A. Simpson of Bargersville, IN, his siblings Rebecca Simpson of Edinburgh, IN, Louis A. Simpson (Beverly) of Plainfield, IN and Charmin Coy (Greg) of Edinburgh, IN, nephews Christopher Simpson, Daniel Simpson and Jacob Coy.He was preceded in death by his parents Chester “Jake” Simpson and Geraldine J. (Lamphier) Simpson.Pastor Perry Anderson will conduct a service on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call Sunday March 3, 2024 from 2PM until 6PM at the mortuary where a masonic service will be conducted at 5:45PM by Union Village Masonic Lodge #545.Burial will be at Simpson Family Cemetery in Union Township, Johnson County, IN.Online condolence may be sent to the family at www.swartzmortuary.com. Lenda Sue (Hudson) Pruett, 80, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community in Franklin, IN. Born on December 8, 1943, in Success, Arkansas, Lenda was a twin to Glenda Burcham and one of eight children belonging to Clyde Hudson and Wilma Bernice (Green) Hudson. Lenda later married James Lee Pruett of Paragould, Arkansas, in October 1962. The pair had their first son, James Lee Pruett Jr., soon after, and their second son, John Blake Pruett, in 1968. Known as a fiercely independent woman, Lenda was a well-liked small business owner in southeast Missouri until her retirement in the mid-2000s. She was an antiques enthusiast, a collector of clocks, and a beloved grandmother to her four granddaughters.Survivors include her son James Lee “Jim” Pruett Jr. and his wife Teresa of Helotes, Texas, four granddaughters Ashley Chapa, Kelsey Pruett-Elrod, Darby Phiilips, and Aribi Pruett, great grandchildren Zoe Lance, Roland Chapa, Adelyn Phillips, Rosalee Phillips, a sister Rosetta Hoskins of Paragould, Arkansas, and brother Jimmy Dale Hudson of Fort Worth, Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Lee Pruett, and her son John Blake Pruett on June 19, 2023.A private graveside service with family and friends will take place at Greene County Memorial Gardens 2901 AR-135N Paragould, Arkansas 72450.Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling arrangements.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.swartzmortuary.com.
