Terrieny Moats

Terrieny Moats

Age - 59

November 27, 2023

Our dear, sweet mother, Terrieny Lynn "Terrie" (Blosser) Moats, 59 of Reedsville, WV, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, surrounded by her sons and several other loving friends and family members. She was born in Hawthorne, CA in 1964 and moved to West Virginia with her mom during her teenage years. She graduated from West Preston High School in 1983. Terrie then moved to Maryland to live with her aunt for some time. In 1984, she had her first son. Eventually, she moved back to WV where she would have three more sons. There, she began her life as a full-time mother - the role that gave her the most pride. Terrie experienced tumultuous and sometimes abusive relationships throughout her young life, and she never garnered great material wealth, but she was resourceful and became rich and prosperous in what mattered most: Her boys; Her sons; Her loving family and friends. While she took great interest in the law, social work, and even studied to be a paralegal for some time, her dedication to being a mother remained her number one priority. Terrie loved to cook extravagant meals with enough food to feed the entire neighborhood - and she often did. She insisted that everyone could always rely on her for a good meal. She taught her sons that even the least of those among us deserves a seat at the table. There was no such thing as a stranger to her. She took in stray cats, dogs, and people - and she had no reservations about it. She always ensured her home was warm and welcoming. She loved to "perch" (as we all called it) on her "spot" at the kitchen table where she would share a song, a story, and a cup of coffee with just about anyone. She was an avid Home Interior brand collector, and she loved a thoughtfully coordinated decoration concept. She will always be remembered for the "rooms" and "themes" in her house: apples, Coca-Cola, cardinals, angels, cows, ducks, horses, and so on. It was her thing. Terrie had incredible wit and perseverance likely sharpened by the various jobs she had over the years as a bar tender, maid, and cook - or maybe it's just what it took to raise four rowdy (and wildly unique) boys in rural West Virginia. She had a joke, a story, or a comeback for just about anything. She often said: "I'm the jack of all trades; master of none. " She changed the oil in the family car, fixed the leaky faucet, built forts, and taught her boys how to go camping and survive. She kept her home meticulously clean, and she guarded it with fervor. She was tenacious. Terrie insisted her sons go see the world and experience all the blessings of life. She wanted that for everyone. Her laugh, her advice, her cooking, and all she gave to this world will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Blosser; two brothers, Roger Blosser and Melvin Blosser; two grandchildren, Xavier and Xander Mancuso; her second born son, Jeremy Adili, where she was confident that they would be flying high, riding side-by-sides, and fishing in the heavens when she got there. She is survived by her brother, Rick Blosser, her sister Brenda Strahan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Terrie also leaves behind her eldest son, Joshua Adili and his spouse, Dustin Danielson; her third son, John Mancuso Jr. and partner, Shauna Braden; her fourth son, Jesse Mancuso and partner, Kyra Hodgkins. She also leaves behind several grandchildren: Jadyn, Ruby, Chase, Eveline, and Edric Mancuso; Cordella Braden; Conner Lucas, and Josie Moats. Additionally, Terrie leaves behind Jeremy's "Toots" (and favorite sidekick) Sylvia Barnett as well as others who called her mom including, JD Moon, Patrick Lee, and Amanda Moats; her niece (and crafting buddy) Denise Bolyard; her loving nephew, Bradley Blosser and her close friends Jen, Trina, Tom, Todd, Scott, Randy, Sharon, Angie and so many more. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 3:00 p. m. until the 6:00 p. m. time of service with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. To honor Terrie's wishes, she will then be cremated. Condolences may be extended online to the family at www. fieldfuneralhome. com.Show more

Robert Watson

Robert Watson

Age - 64

May 3, 2023

Robert Lee "Bob" Watson, 64, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born August 19, 1958 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Allen Dayton Watson and Blanche Louise (Hartman) Watson. Bob worked from a young age on area farms, often going from football practice to the hayfield, then back to football practice. He also played baseball, from Little League to Pony League. He belonged to Future Farmers of America (FFA) and was recognized as a member of the All-State Football Team. He graduated from Valley High School, in Masontown, WV, class of 1976. Bob began taking classes at WVU, but couldn't continue. He worked at Arkwright Coal Mines for 18 years, often sharing rides to work with his mom, who was a clerk, when their shifts coordinated. Bob married Ann Fortney on March 9, 1985. Since this was Ann's birthday, Bob called this her "birthaversary" for the next 38 years. After being laid off, he went to school and received his Associates Degree in computers. He then began his own business, Complete Computer Services, winning contracts at a local power plant and a local hospital. On April 1, 2000, Bob had a motorcycle accident which left him a quadriplegic. This might be the end of life for some people, but this was just another challenge for Bob. From the moment he realized he could move his arms and hands, there was no stopping him. There were many people that took a second look when they saw him using a mower to trim the yard; joystick of his motorized wheelchair in one hand and the handle of the push mower in the other. He used a wood splitter to split wood, bringing wood into the house in a five-gallon bucket sitting on his foot rests. He had raised garden beds in the back yard to grow strawberries. He also grew blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. He walked Sammy, his black lab, then Lilly, his chocolate lab, every day he was able. Life may have become more difficult as he aged but Bob met every challenge with humor, dignity and determination to do things his way. Bob is survived by his wife, Ann; a brother, Allen David and his wife Donna and their children, Alex and Jeanette; and sister, Barbara Watson-Hamrick of Fairmont and her children, Drew Watson and Heather Hamrick, both from Morgantown. He also has family in Ohio and Virginia. There will be no services. Bob will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at Cheat River at a later date. The Watson family would like to thank Preston Home Heath, especially Theresa, and Amedisys Hospice Services for taking such good care of Bob. Online condolences may be sent to the Watson family at www. morganfuneralhomewv. com. To to the family or in memory of Robert "Bob" Lee Watson, pleaseShow more
