Dorothy Sexton, 77 of Sandlick, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Lonzie and Myrtle McCray Halcomb. She was the widow of Billy Sexton. Surviving is 1 son-in-law: Robert Keith Watts; 2 grandchildren: Chasity (Blake) Mason and Amber (Zachary) Hogg; 2 great grandchildren: Tucker Mason and Chesnee Mason along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Dorothy was preceded in death by 1 son: Edie Keith Sexton; 1 daughter: Sharon Kaye Watts. Funeral: 3:30 O'clock P. M. Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Jones officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P. M. - 10:00 P. M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sandlick Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.

Emmazell Grigsby, age 98, of Lotts Creek, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. She spent her entire life caring for and showing love to her family. Emmazell lived a long, full life that left a lasting impression on everyone around her. She was loved by many. Emmazell was born on March 01, 1925, in Knott County, KY, to the late Asberry Grigsby and the late Sylvania Hudson Miller. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her Husband: Felix Grigsby; Four Sisters: Janie Ritchie, Delphia Hudson, Golderine Grigsby & Mary Hickman and Four Brothers: George Grigsby, Asberry Jr. Grigsby, Gabe Risner & James H. Miller. James is retired from KY & West VA Gas Company. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was the son of the late James Gilbert and the late Mae Chandler Gilbert. He is also preceded in death by one brother: A. T. Gilbert and four sisters: Naomi Hodge, Norma Lee Pelley, Grace Campbell & Janet Napier. Delena Rosa McKnight, age 71, of Gray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday November 26, 2023, at her homeBorn in Hazard, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her parents, Winfrey Brashear and Mary Hollon Brashear. She was a Registered Nurse having worked at Baptist Regional Medical Center before working for many years prior to her retirement from Marymount Hospital in London. Delena loved being outside and being with her special doggie "Barklee. "In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Brashear, Darrell Brashear, Darwin Brashear, Douglas Brashear, Denny Brashear, Danny Brashear and by her twin sister, Delores Ann Brashear. She is survived by her daughter, Randa Rosa Minor-Coffey (Kevin Lee), grandchildren, Brooklyn NaVannah-Rosa Minor (Gary Swafford), and Maison Kelynn Prater, siblings, Katie Brashear Martin of Barbourville, and Debbie Davidson of Viper, KY, and she was anxiously awaiting her first great grandchild, Lainey Jane Swafford. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, butterfly's, spending time with family, and her son was her world. She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Miller, father Johnny Baldwin, grandparents George and Lenora Mallory Baldwin, Floyd and Rosie Eversole Green, sister Sherry Lynn Baldwin.
