Dorothy was born on January 9, 1929, in Salida, Colorado, and passed away on June 17, 2022, peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side. She spent all her life working alongside her husband at Oxford's Market until she opened her fabric store, Fashion Fabrics, which was her pride and joy. She and her husband enjoyed working on their ranch and traveling throughout their lives together. She loved the sandy beaches and hot sun. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, LG; daughters, Patricia Oxford & Tami Belsey; grandchildren, Jason & Ryan Strubel, Bryan, Zach, & Shane Belsey, and Gailan & Carrie Ann Van Meter; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as various extended loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Loraine (Oxford) Van Meter; and sister, Annabelle Austin Lobeda. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home: 1449 S. 9th Street, Canon City, CO 81212.
