Preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Insolera, Sr. ; her parents and siblings. Survived by her son, Frank J. Insolera, Jr; nieces, nephews, her extended family and many good friends. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. VISITATION with the family begins Friday, after 5:00pm at the 72nd Street Chapel with WAKE service at 7:00pm. The Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard will render honors at 6:50pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Servants of Mary or the College of St. Mary Josie Harper Nursing Scholarship.

Gary Lee Roush, age 75, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday November 20, 2023 in Gretna NE while visiting his daughter Julie and her family. He was born February 28th, 1948 in Bakersfield Ca to the late Alvin and Lodene Roush. He graduated from Bakersfield High School and attended Bakersfield College. Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Roush, daughters Julie (Gabe) Kuhnert, Gretna Nebraska, and Lori (Brian) Spurlock, brother Jeff (LouAnn), Jackson Wyoming, grandsons Isaiah, Tyler, Zack, Jonathan, and Bradley, and his unofficially adopted family, son Jason (Michelle) Silvas, and grandsons Coleman and Aidan. Gary was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served as a seaman on the USS Jennings County during the Vietnam War. After the war, he was employed as a Construction Inspector II for the city of Bakersfield for 30 years. He also served as a draftsman for a number of years. In his teen years, Gary loved to dance. He took tap, ballet and jazz classes, and performed in a number of plays with the Starlight of Kern at the BC outdoor theater including Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma, and Lil' Abner. He also was a boy scout for many years. God blessed Gary with daughters so he became the first male Girl Scout leader in Bakersfield for 7 years. He belonged to the Dragon Wagon RV Club for 8 years. Many trailers, motorhomes, and 5th wheels' later, he joined the Roaming Rigs RV Club. Gary loved to travel. Gary has been a member of the First United Methodist Church since he was a young boy. He served as a trustee, an usher, was a member of the handbell choir, and he and his wife helped run the Senior Center every Wednesday. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, working with wood, and watching his kids participate in sports and compete in band competitions. He also loved to play cards, especially Hand & Foot. Memorial services will be Saturday December 9th, 2023, 11am at First United Methodist Church, 4600 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield Ca 93309. Peter D. Reed was born August 11, 1948, to parents Robert and Sara Reed in Reading, Pennsylvania. The family later moved to Levittown, Pennsylvania. Growing up on the East Coast Peter had a fondness of the water leading him to be a state swimming champion. Which led Peter to Eastern Kentucky University on a swimming scholarship. While at Eastern, Peter met his wife, Gwendolyn. In college Peter achieved the ranks of All American Swimmer and earned a degree in Administration. Peter was a devoted Father and Husband. He was a traveling salesman and avid sports enthusiast. He coached many youth teams in basketball, baseball, and softball. Peter strived for excellence in all sports he coached, leading many of these youth teams to victory at the National levels. As a father his children can recall many hours practicing to become fundamentally sound in their sport of choice. Peter's unwavering support for his children will always be remembered. In his retirement years Peter and Gwen loved to travel between Florida, Kentucky, and New York visiting family and friends. Some of Peter and Gwen's favorite times were spent on the beaches of Florida, Hawaii, and Montauk. Peter is survived by his wife: Gwendolyn Reed of 55 years; his children: Robert, Richard, Andrea, Peter Jr, and Anthony; his sisters: Debby Moore and Patricia Artenberg; grandchildren: Braydon, Arien, Axel, and Anali; Grand Fur babies: Teddy, Bear, Louie, Sadie, and Rip. Peter is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sara Reed. Visitation 5-6pm, Thursday, December 7 at Forest Lawn. Funeral Service starting at 6pm. Wayne A. Blum, a lifelong resident of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born in Omaha and was a proud graduate of Benson High School. Wayne's life was a testament to the power of simple kindness and the joy of time spent with loved ones. Those who met Wayne, even just once, saw him as a fun-loving, great guy- a unique spirit who made friends effortlessly. Those who knew him well deeply felt the same, cherishing his genuine warmth and the easy camaraderie he extended to all. Wayne's life was marked by his love for sports; he was an avid golfer, relished watching and discussing various games, and his passion for travel brought him many enriching experiences. Beyond his hobbies, Wayne was a man of immense kindness, often volunteering to help his community. In honor of this, the family suggests that memorials be directed to Boys Town to continue his legacy of generosity. Wayne's 40 years at Union Pacific Railroad were marked not just by professional dedication but by the friendships and memories he made along the way. His ability to balance a fulfilling career with his unwavering commitment to his family was something truly special. Wayne is survived by his wife, Corrine "Corky" Blum, his children, Ryan Blum (Jen) and Sandie Vyhlidal (John), his siblings, Barb Panzer and Jerry Blum (Bridget), his extended family, including son-in-law, Aaron Baldwin and daughter-in-law, Ellen Wilson Hannon, and his adored grandchildren, Sophie, Ava, Grace, Hannah, Sam, Dylan, Zach, Jack and Emma, as well as his great grandson, Varian. Preceded in death by his parents, Ermin B. and Loretta M. Blum, Wayne leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and the enduring impact of his charitable spirit. As we bid farewell to Wayne, we invite those who knew him to share their memories and stories, celebrating the countless moments of happiness and love he shared with all of us.
