"DOROTHY "JEAN" (Presgraves) DODSON, 84 of Clifton, Virginia passed on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Ashburn, Virginia. Born Sunday, June 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert Isreal Presgraves and the late Leila Mae (Burke) Presgraves. Jean is Preceded in death by her Husband of 54 years Lawrence "Larry" Dodson sr. , her daughter Tamela "Tammy" Dodson-Baldwin, her son Lawrence "Reed\u0027\u0027 Dodson, jr. , daughter-in-law Patricia "Lynn" Dodson, and her 5 siblings; George, Claude, Elsie, Katherine, and Charles. Jean is survived by her grandchildren, Paul Moore, Leah (Moore) Veeris, Krystal Whitehead (Ian Whitehead), Lawrence Dodson III (Jana Dodson), Rosanna Dodson, her 9 great-grandchildren; James, Michael, Gabrielle, Kaylin, Wesley, Aiden, Liam, Taylor, and Owen and son-in-law Robert "Bob" Baldwin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. Burial to Follow at 2:00 PM at the Sperryville Cemetery located 3810 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, VA 22740. Vito Franz Flores at the age of 77 died after a courageous battle with cancer, he went home to Jesus peacefully with his loved ones by his side on November 12, 2023, at his home in Ashburn, Virginia. Vito was born to Vito Flores Sr. and Cerafina Parra on July 24, 1946 in La Paz, Bolivia. Survived by his wife Martha Irene Betancur, his children: Franz (Erick) Flores, Ronald Flores, Monica Martins, Heidi Rua and July James, Step-children: Sandra Sossa, Edwin Sossa, and Janet Sossa, his sister Martha Redin, Twenty Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren. Vito was the oldest of two children. A son of a military doctor, he traveled all over Bolivia, ultimately planting roots in Cochabamba where he would go on to meet his first wife Julieta Zambrana. They were married in 1969 and together had 6 children, 1 of which died as an infant. In 1988, they embarked on a journey to build and provide a better life of opportunities for their children and moved to Virginia. They were married for 18 years before divorcing and remaining good friends until his last days. Vito went on to find love again when he met Martha Irene 12 years ago and from then on shared a wonderful life, until his passing. During his life he held a number of professions, a hard worker, who was dedicated and passionate enough to achieve the American dream only 9 years after arriving in America. He bought his first home in 1997 and shortly thereafter purchased "Amigo Market". A local latin american store in the heart of Fairfax County. A true friend, Vito was always surrounded by many who loved him and respected him. His loving character and welcoming smile was of comfort to many. Stephanie Michelle Martz, 30, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Reston Hospital Center. She was born on December 7, 1992, in Rockingham County and was a graduate of Page County High School Class of 2011. She had an Associates of Arts and Science degree from Lord Fairfax, a Bachelor of Science Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies Minor in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching from JMU. Stephanie was an educator in Loundon County for six years and was a Visualization Analyst at IT Cadre. She was member of the Newport Church of the Brethren and was baptized March 21, 2004. She is survived by her father, Greg and wife Jhenny, and her mother, Amy and companion Donnie, all of Luray; a sister, Samantha Painter and husband Aaron of Stanley; a brother, Kolin Alayon of Washington State; her golden doodle, Milo; her grandfather, Allen Stanley of Shenandoah; her grandmother, Barbara Martz of Luray; Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Annetta; Brian Stanley and Cheryl; Mark Stanley; cousins Brittney Hinegardner and companion Charlie Morris, Patrick Martz and wife Angelica, Jacob Martz, Austin Stanley, Caitlyn Stanley, Jessica Stanley and numerous other cousins; and second cousins Brianna Hinegardner, Christian Morris, Isabella Martz and Korelee Stanley. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Stanley; and her grandfather, James Martz. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p. m. on Saturday, October 28, at the Newport Church of the Brethren by Pastor Duane Painter. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery in Stanley. Geraldine "Gerry" Speaks Quigley ASHBURN, Virginia - Geraldine "Gerry" Speaks Quigley, 91, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on September 29, 2023. She was born on September 27,1932, to the late Bertha and Raymond Speaks, in Washington County, Maryland. Gerry was one of 12 Speaks children, Howard, Raymond, Ethel, June, Jean, Calvin, Lawrence, Rusty, Janet, Betty and Michael. Gerry is survived by her loving sons, William Quigley (Rita) of Shady Side, Maryland, and Christopher Quigley (Jenny) of Lovettsville, Virginia. She was a cherished grandmother to Theresa Rendon (Joey) of Leesburg, Virginia, Christopher Quigley (Cammie) of Ashburn, Virginia, Kaitlin Vernon (Drue) of Houston, Texas, Robert Quigley (Suzy) of Edgewater, Maryland, Megan Quigley (Will) of Edgewater, Maryland, Clayton Garfinkle (Marion) of Reisterstown, Maryland and Blake Garfinkle (Shanna) of Boston, Mass. Gerry also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren, Cooper, Taylor, Cruz, Levi, Jackson, Brooke, Logan, Clara and Asher. Gerry now joins her beloved husband, Harold, and her son, Mark. She will also join her siblings, Howard, Raymond, Ethel, June, Lawrence, Jean, Janet, Betty and Michael. Gerry attended Lovettsville High School and went on to have a stellar career. She began her professional journey at the Navy Annex in Arlington, Virginia. Gerry's dedication and expertise led her to become a top-selling real estate agent in McLean, Virginia, earning countless awards and recognitions from The Northern Virginia Board of Realtors (NVBR). In 1978, she founded The Geraldine Quigley Corporation, a brokerage firm that continued her legacy of excellence in the real estate industry. Geraldine found solace in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Ashburn, Virginia, where she worshipped. Her greatest love was celebrating with her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved traveling with friends and vacationing at her properties in New York, Florida and Bethany Beach, Delaware. She was an avid sports fan and season ticket holder of the Washington Redskins and Capitals and took pleasure in bowling with the McLean Ladies League, playing golf, bocce and skiing. Gerry had a knack for finding hidden gems while antiquing and shopping. When she had a free moment, she loved berry and apple picking and cooking with family. In recent years, Geraldine was blessed to have found a beautiful friend and caregiver, Tigest Tufa. Gerry loved visiting with Tigest's family through video calls, going on day trips and family visits. A visitation for Geraldine will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 3 to 5 P. M. and 7 to 9 P. M. at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046. A Funeral Mass will be held on October 12, 2023, at 10 A.
