DAVIES, Dorothy G., 88, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Donald N. Davies; sisters, Gloria Rodgers, Jackie Osborne, Joyce Floyd and Peggy Carson. She is survived by her children, Donald C. Davies (Diana), Donna Lewis (Steve), Deborah Owens (Panda), Douglas Davies (Suzanne); sister, Nancy Gerber; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her family dearly. She worked as a nurse for Dr. James Cook for many years. Dorothy was a member of the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad Women's Auxiliary for more than 20 years. The family will receive friends at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of the Masonic Home of Virginia, 500 Masonic Lane, Richmond, Va. 23223, on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 2 p.m., where the family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
