It is with heavy hearts we announce that Mable Lynch Harris Lee was called home to the Lord on December 5, 2023. Born in Estill County, Kentucky, on May 19, 1938, to Mike and Lullie Lynch, Mable's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, family, cherished moments, and a profound devotion to the Lord. Mable's journey in love and family began with her marriage to Troy Harris, which blessed her with her beloved children, Donna and Wayne Harris. She later found love again with Charles Lee, whom she married on September 7, 1974. Together with Charles, she shared a life full of love, companionship, and shared faith until his passing. Mable, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, care, and unwavering faith. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna Reinholt, and son-in-law Steve Reinholt. Mable warmly embraced Steve's children, Brad Reinholt and Jenny Johnson, as part of her family. Brad's children, Ethan, Seth, and Kaydee Reinholt, as well as Jenny's children, Ellie, Grace, Luke, and Anna, Johnson and her son Jaxon, all cherished Mable as a grandmother. Her grandsons Zachary Harris, McKalyn Harris, and McKinley Harris with his wife Hayley, along with their sons Greyson Turner Harris and Nolen Cole Harris, also hold dear her memory. Mable was preceded in death by her husband Charles, son Wayne Harris, granddaughter Bridget Harris, her parents, and siblings Leslie Begley, James Edward Begley, Mitchell Lynch, Jessie Ashcraft, Lillie Mae Dunn, Rosie Belle Fike, and Junie Groce. Her spirit, love, and faith continue to resonate. Mable retired from Hardigg Industries in Columbus and had previously worked for ITT Thompson Industries in North Vernon. Mable's joy in cooking, puzzles, making Christmas candy, watching old westerns, and her devotion to the Lord brought happiness and inspiration to many. Her wisdom, kindness, and unconditional love, deeply rooted in her faith, will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. As we bid farewell, we celebrate Mable's remarkable life, her enduring spirit, her love for the Lord, and the love she generously shared with everyone. Her memory and faith will continue to be a beacon of light and inspiration in our lives. Betty Pauline Emily, 80, of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at her residence. Born June 4, 1943, in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Carl William and Elsie Marie (Hunt) Heilman. She married Ross Emily on November 3, 1967, at the Wesleyan Church in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on March 21, 2017. Betty was a housewife and homemaker and was a babysitter. She enjoyed going to yard sales, birdwatching, animals, talking on the phone, and watching soap operas and The Price Is Right. Betty loved taking car rides in the country and spending time with her grandkids and family. Born July 19, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Evelyn (Coates) Thurman. She married Daniel Allen Tabor on July 29, 1968, at their home on Mt. Washington Road in Louisville, Kentucky; he preceded her in death. Marlene was a very devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed playing guitar and singing, rock and roll music, reading, working crossword puzzles, driving fast cars, flowers and gardening. Marlene also liked to make furniture for doll houses. Survivors include her son, Chad (Jen) Tabor of Commiskey; her daughter, Patricia Tabor-Patton of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; brothers, Willard (Rita) Thurman of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and Dan (Dot) Thurman of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon) Casebolt and Dusty Smith, both of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Faith (James) Thompson of New Albany, Josh (Destiny) Tabor, Katie Tabor and Nick Tabor, all of Commiskey; and great-grandchildren, Nalley, Story, Shelby, Ella and Addyline. Paul David "Dave" Moore, age 56, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1967 to the late Paul "JR" Moore and Jewell (Cassetty) Thompson of Clifford, Indiana. He was a 1985 graduate of Jennings County High School. Dave was a friendly man that had his arms open to whoever needed him. He was real, authentic, loving and a caring family man. He enjoyed watching tv, especially western shows. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to auctions, hummingbirds, gardening and mushroom hunting. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 27 years, Donna (Wheeler) Moore of North Vernon, Indiana, two sons, Jon Moore and his fiance, Raven Luedeman of North Vernon, Indiana and Tyler Moore of North Vernon, Indiana. One daughter, Stephanie Moore Maschino and her husband Ryan of North Vernon, Indiana. One sister, Amanda Moore of North Vernon, Indiana. Norman Joseph Nelson, 85, of Butlerville, passed away at 1:01 p. m. on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born June 11, 1938, in Ashland, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Swader) Nelson. He married Deanna Sue (Bradley) Nelson on May 23, 1970, in Ashland, Wisconsin; she survives. Norman graduated from Ashland High School in Ashland, Wisconsin in 1958. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1959 until 1962, during which time he handled communications in the Phillipeans. He worked as a maintenance painter for over 25 years at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville before his retirement. Norman was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Holton Christian Church, enjoyed fishing, and was a big Green Bay Packers fan. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deanna Nelson of Butlerville; sons, Norman Michael Nelson of Bloomington and Shawn Nelson of Butlerville; granddaughter, Heather Kathleen Nelson of North Vernon; sister, Barbara Young of Aurora, Colorado; brothers in-law, George Maag Sr. of Greeley, Colorado, Elmer (Sherry) Bradley of Dillsboro, Omar (Patsy) Bradley of Holton, and Ernie (Sue) Bradley and Mike Bradley, both of Versailles; sisters in-law, Frances Powell of Versailles and Debra Clowers of Canaan; and several nieces and nephews. Emma "Vivian" Campfield, 93, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:00 p. m. on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Majestic Care of North Vernon. Born July 16, 1930, in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Claude Thomas and Lora Vergie (Dunsmore) Kendall. She married Charles Campfield on August 7, 1948, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on August 11, 1998. Vivian was a homemaker and housewife. She volunteered as a Guild Lady for St. Vincent Jennings Hospital and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge #576. Vivian enjoyed going to the Senior Center, playing Bingo, dancing, crocheting, knitting and cross stitch. She also liked to play Dominos, do arts and crafts, and sew. Survivors include her son, Daniel (Barbara) Campfield of North Vernon; daughter, Berniece Campfield of North Vernon; grandchildren, Kelly Sabelhaus of Ohio, Tracie Jarrell, Andrea Campfield and Jerianne Bateman, all of North Vernon; and eleven great-grandchildren. "Kimberly Jean Wiley Acre, 48, of North Vernon, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, with her family by her side. Kimmi was born on January 15, 1975, in Columbus to Otis Wiley and Karen Eden Wiley. Kimmi was a 1993 graduate of Hauser High School, and spent several years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working with MD Choice and Nightingale Home Health. Kimmi was united in marriage to Brian on October 12, 2013. She was blessed with her children; Kaley Acre, Mackenzie Spurlin, Makayla Spurlin, and Brogan Acre. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking, and had a heart to help anyone who ever crossed her path, and would do so without reservation. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them. Kimmi is survived by her husband, Brian of North Vernon, her children; Kaley Acre, Mackenzie Spurlin, Makayla Spurlin, and Brogan Acre; grandchildren, Jackson Sanders and Maveryck Spurlin; her mother, Karen Wiley; her sisters, Kirsten Nentrup and Shannon (Zac) Reynolds.
