Dorothea Zahos Obituary

WESTFORD - Mrs. Dorothea M. (Tassios) Zahos, 86, passed away unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 7th. Dorothea was born March 20, 1937 in Lowell, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Xenophon G. and Elizabeth (Bogalis) Tassios. Loving wife to the late Christos Zahos whom she lost on April 8, 2020. Dorothea was educated through the Chelmsford schools, graduating in 1955 from Chelmsford High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at Progress Software in Bedford and prior to her retirement she worked at Honeywell in Billerica for fifteen years. She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell. And an eighteen-year volunteer at Lowell General Hospital in the Cancer Clinic. Dorothea enjoyed many trips with her husband Chris throughout their lifetimes. She is survived by her loving daughter, Diane Eastwood and her husband William Scott Eastwood, two grandchildren, Marissa and James Eastwood; a sister, Xandra Sharron and her husband Joseph; a brother in law, Gregory Zahos: and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell from 9:00 am to 10:00am. Her Funeral Service will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
