Michael Petrone
Age - 69
December 4, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Petrone, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Mike departed this world on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories. Mike was born in 1954 in New Brunswick, spent his college years in Bridgeport Connecticut, his family life in North Brunswick, and the later years of his life in Seaside Park, NJ. Mike was larger than life; a true force of nature with an incredible sense of humor and an enormous heart. He was a firm believer in the importance of family; he adored his devoted wife Kelly whom he just celebrated 40 wonderful years with, and his children, Keri and Mark. He had an unwavering bond with his beloved siblings, Junior and Diane. He absolutely cherished his countless friends who spent life by his side. A dedicated sports fan, Mike passionately followed the Jets, Mets, and Rutgers teams. He loved celebrating the joys of life and surrounded himself with music and the love of his dogs - Smudge, Bailey, Burp and Sadie, throughout his life. Mike is survived by his loving wife Kelly, his children, Keri and Mark, their fiances Erik and Christen, his siblings Junior, Diane and Johnny, as well as his mother in-law Elizabeth, brothers in-law Tommy and Michael, sister in-laws Bridget and Valery, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased in death by his parents, Angelo and Rose Petrone. To honor Mike's life and share in the memories, a Memorial Service will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, located at 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ, on Saturday, December 9th, from 1-4 PM. All who wish to pay their respects and share funny stories are warmly welcomed. Following the service, a celebration of Mike's life will continue at the Windjammer Motor Inn on Central Ave in Seaside Park, starting at 4:30 PM. Join us in raising a glass, sharing stories, and remembering Mike in the way he knew best--with love and laughter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to SaveBarnegatBay. org in Mike's memory, ensuring his legacy lives on through acts of kindness and generosity. We hope the memories of Mike's vibrant spirit and endless compassion bring comfort to all who knew him during this difficult time.
