Doris D. Turner, age 95, of Council Bluffs, passed away at her home on April 24, 2019. Doris was born September 24, 1923 in Council Bluffs to the late Carl and Ann (Hilstrom) Hemmingsen. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1942. Doris married Wesley Turner on October 13, 1943. She worked on the production line at Blue Star Foods for 30 years, retiring in 1985. Doris was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Turner in 1983; 5 sisters, Louise, Margaret, Mary, twin sister, Deloris and June; 6 brothers, Charles, Nels, Julius, Fred, Hans, and Louis. Doris is survived by her great nephew, Jerry L. (Tammy) Davis; great niece, Jane A. (Mark) Shamblen all of Council Bluffs; great-great nieces and nephews, Heather (Cory) Cerone, Candace Mayfield, Trevor Bowman, Stephen Lundy, Brandy Brunton; great-great-great nieces and nephews, Shelby, Charlie and Keagan.
