Obituary Doris J. Luckey, 91, formerly of Caledonia, IL, died peacefully June 16, 2022 in Rockford, IL. She was born January 31, 1931, in Belvidere, IL, daughter of James Alfred and Beatrice Ella (Steiner) Wilson. Doris graduated from Belvidere High School in 1948 and married Robert Luckey on January 21, 1950, in Rockford. She was a housewife for many years, taking pride in her flower and vegetable gardens and being a mother to six children. She attended Caledonia Congregational Church, where she was involved in the Ladies Aid, helping to prepare luncheons and dinners for church events. She also enjoyed being a part of the Keen Age Center's knitting group. Doris is loved and will be missed by her children, Dale (Martha) Luckey, Roger (Debbie) Luckey, Vickie (Doug) Brinkmeyer, Dennis (Bobbie) Luckey, Curtis (Anita) Luckey, and Wayne (Quinn) Luckey; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. Alfred and Beatrice Wilson; husband, Robert; infant daughter, Linda; grandson, Daniel Brinkmeyer; brother, Ernest Wilson; and sister, Betty Wilson. The visitation will be held from 4p. m. to 7p. m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 Hurlbut Ave. , Belvidere, IL. Funeral service will be held at 11a. m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the funeral home. Rev. Gary Schwerin will officiate. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
