In Loving Memory Doris A. Hetherington aged 90 entered eternal rest on October 2, 2023, in Cumming, Georgia. She was born on August 7, 1933, to Gertrude and Harold Estes in Durham, North Carolina. Doris was a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, treasured sister, and devoted wife. She was known for her generosity of spirit and her dedicated commitment to her family. Doris touched the lives of countless individuals through serving her church community and many years of volunteering at Northside Forsyth Hospital. Doris was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Nonie Strickland. Her beautiful life will be cherished in the lives of her daughters, Deborah and Denise, grandchildren, Matthew and Laura, sister, Jean, and husband Robert. She will be deeply missed by her granddaughter-in-law, three great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. The Family of Doris A. Kyle James Sunderland, 33, passed away to his eternal home on November 19, 2023. He was born on October 12, 1990, to Barry and Terri Sunderland at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dave Thomas and Bill Sunderland. He was a beloved son and brother. He had a huge heart, a magnetic personality, and a great sense of humor. He loved football and soccer, especially the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Southern Eagles. He started playing soccer at the age of three up until his senior year in high school. It was his passion. He graduated from Woodward Academy in 2009 and, then from Georgia Southern, where he majored in sports management. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He will be deeply missed by his brother and his brother's wife, Chris and April Sunderland, and their two precious children, Calvin and Chloe; his two grandparents, Betty Thomas and Pat Sunderland; and his step-grandmother, Gina Sunderland; his aunts and uncles, Dan and Kim Dreibelbis, Dave and Sandy Sunderland, Bie and Judee Sunderland, Andy and Jolee Sunderland, Holden and Caroline Hayes, (Dr. ) Trey and Leah Hayes, and several cousins. Marcia Dunn Hunnicutt, age 80, of Roswell, GA, died peacefully in her sleep on November 25, 2023. She was born in Dover, Delaware in 1943 to Lura Mae and Edgar Hart Dunn (deceased). As a child, Marcia lived in Newfoundland (Canada) then St. Petersburg, FL. She attended Bixby School of Business (1962) and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Petersburg Junior College (1965); receiving the School of Nursing's award for outstanding leadership. With her husband and two children, she lived in Atlanta, GA; Seneca, SC; Merritt Island, FL; Prairie Village, KS, before returning to Georgia in 1986 settling in Alpharetta and most recently Roswell. Marcia was a licensed nurse in Florida and Georgia, working in several hospitals including Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Later in her career, she moved into the administrative side of the medical field supporting an allergy practice and then into the OB-GYN specialty where she devoted herself to nurturing soon-to-be moms. Throughout her life, Marcia loved to volunteer in the community with various organizations including: Johnson County Young Matrons, Girl Scouts (as Troup leader), Special Education and Library aide at local elementary schools; most recently at The Atlanta Academy where she served for several years. She was known for her friendly and giving personality who lovingly cared for her family, friends, and neighbors. She also loved animals and adopted several wonderful dogs from her local animal shelter; giving them a forever home. Marcia is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Lawrence Hunnicutt (Roswell, GA), daughters Laura Hunnicutt (Marietta, GA) and Lynda Hunnicutt (Woodstock, GA), and her sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Gene Bigbie (Avon Park, FL). She will be deeply missed by her family, and friends, yet we are comforted in knowing that because of her profession of faith in Jesus Christ, we know she is fully healed and in the presence of the Lord. We look forward to seeing her again. A celebration of life service for family members will be held December 2nd at Sanford Estates Senior Living Community in Roswell, GA. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Price on November 24, 2023. He was 81 years old. Born on August 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry pursued his passion for healing and earned his doctorate from the Illinois Medical School. His commitment to serving others led him to become a family practitioner. During the Vietnam War, Jerry served honorably in the United States Army as a medical examiner, achieving the rank of Major. In 1972, Jerry was proudly awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his exemplary performance. Beyond his many professional achievements, Jerry had diverse interests and a lust for life. He had an insatiable wanderlust, traveling the world and embracing the rich cultures he encountered. He was also an avid bowler, a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, and an enthusiastic enjoyer of local restaurants. Jerry always found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had the ability to light up every room he entered. One of Jerry's greatest sources of happiness was his family. He cherished the moments spent with his wife and children. As "Papa Jerry," he found immeasurable joy and fulfillment in the company of his grandsons. He leaves behind his favorite person, wife of 45 years, Linda; children, Janeen, Scott, Madeleine, and Steven; treasured grandsons, Alex, Ryan, and Jack; mother-in-law, Shirley Rossof; and brothers, Harold Primack and Marvin Primack The family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends, and well-wishers do an act of kindness in Jerry's memory. Mary Ann Printz passed away on November 16, 2023, surrounded by family. Mary Ann was born on April 21, 1931, in Minot, North Dakota to the late Mary and Anthony Imholte. In 1949 Mary Ann graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy Highschool in Waterloo, Iowa. She married the love of her life, Dave Printz in 1957. They lived in Long Beach, CA where their daughter Toni was born, Simsbury, CT where their son David was born and then settled in Atlanta, GA where their son Rick was born. They raised their family in Atlanta splitting their time between their Atlanta home and their home at Lake Burton, GA. Mary Ann was a full-time mother and homemaker. She was a talented baker and avid reader. Mary Ann enjoyed her favorite sports teams especially the Atlanta Braves. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and enjoyed being an active member of Holy Spirt Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA and then St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile that she shared even in her final days. Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Dave Printz, her brother Jay Imholt, and her grandson Adam Printz. She will be deeply missed by her children, Toni Waldmann (Doug), David Printz (Darlene) and Rick Printz (Jan), her grandchildren, Sarah Fleck (Neil), David Printz, Jr. , Daniel Printz (Alicia), Joseph Printz (Haley), Clara Kadrich (Michael), Luke Printz, Maggie Waldmann and great grandchildren, Annabelle Fleck, Lila Fleck, Liam Printz and Savannah Printz. A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
