Doris Blashaw Obituary

Doris L. Blashaw, 79, of Jamestown passed away Thursday (May 4, 2023) in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A lifelong area resident Doris was born March 15, 1944 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Warren E. and Freda Barnes Studd. Doris attended Jamestown High School and in earlier years was employed by Barker' Grocery Store and for over 20 years at Barton Tool & Die. Prior to retirement Doris was employed by Brigiotta's Farmland Produce. She was a member of the Chautauqua Co. Trail Riders Association, Horseman Association, Pony Association and was an avid horse lover and rider. Doris adored and loved her family. Besides horseback riding Doris enjoyed fishing, target shooting and riding on her fiance's spider bike. Surviving are her children: Scott (Heidi) Blashaw of Littleton, CO, Terrilyn (Peter) Feraldi of Jamestown, Jackie Sue Blashaw Spontaneo (Dan) of Busti; grandchildren: Paige O'Brien, Amber Feraldi (Mario), Alan (Charlie) Blashaw Jr. , Alicia (Brenden) Blair, Amanda Feraldi (Joe), Drew (Gracie) Blashaw, Seth Blashaw; great grandchildren: Orion Blair and Carson D. O'Brien; her sister Lynn Rae McDonald of Jamestown; her sister-in-law Lucy Studd of Jamestown; her fiance Gregg Tauscher of Smethport, PA and several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog "Chloe. "Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Blashaw whom she married July 30, 1960, who died July 13, 2002; a son Alan Blashaw on July 28, 2022 and a brother Terry Studd.
