Donny Beenen Obituary

"Donny Ray Beenen age 87 of Grand Rapids, a loving dad and grandpa, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 3, 2023. Donny was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carole Beenen (Galinis), his sons Steven and Jeffrey, his brothers Thomas Beenen and Frank Simons, his sister Lois Shutich and his brother-in-law Joe Galinis. Surviving are his sons Todd, Greg (Selina), and Brian (Janet); his grandsons Nicky, Nate, Nolan, Nash and Henry; his sisters-in-law Mary Ann Beenen and Judy (Paul) Jensen; brother-in-law John Shutich; many nieces and nephews. Donny was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as an engineer with CSX Railroad after over 40 years of service. Donny was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish where he served as sacristan in his later years with the church. The Memorial Mass for Donny and his son Jeff will celebrated Friday June 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church. His family will receive visitors at the church that day from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. His family will receive visitors Thursday June 8, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where a Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church in Donny's Memory. "
