Donna L. Owens, 83, of Pecatonica, IL died at 1:55 am Saturday September 9, 2023 in Generations at Neighbors in Byron after lengthy illness. She was born February 24, 1940 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Nina (Lewis) Sauberlich. Donna graduated from Pecatoncia High School class of 1958. Donna married Jim E. Owens in Pecatonica, IL on January 31, 1959. Donna worked in food service having retired from Eickman's Processing after 20 years. Donald "Ray" Milroy, Jr, 73, of Pecatonica, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Born June 10, 1950, in Sterling, IL, the son of Donald R. and Anna J. (Brown) Milroy, Sr. Graduate of Pecatonica High School and Rock Valley College. Ray married Darlene J. Kloster on June 28, 1970. He worked in IT, including owning his own business, Compass Computer. He was the former President of the Pecatonica Sports Association and basketball coach for hundreds of kids throughout the years. Ray enjoyed watching his son play basketball at Pecatonica High School and Rockford University. He also loved touring MLB stadiums with his son and sons-in-law and was always at his grandchildren's athletic events and programs. Ray traveled to all 50 states, including Alaska 13 times. He even traveled Route 66 from one end to the other. Survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters, Stacey (Larry) Schaller and Laura (Shawn)Maher; grandchildren, Ethan, Avery & Brady Schaller and Ella & Charlotte Maher; siblings, Mark Milroy and Paulette Milroy. Predeceased by his parents; and son, Tim Milroy. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St. , Rockford. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p. m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Olson North Main Chapel. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be established. "Deborah Sue Sarver, 70, of Pecatonica died on July 21, 2023. Born March 10, 1953 in Rockford; daughter of Richard and Dixie (Mitchell) Sarver. Graduate of Pecatonica High School, Class of 1971. Deborah started her career at the early age of 12, where she worked with her grandfather and uncle at the Pecatonica newspaper. She graduated early from high school and began working for the court system at the age of 17. Deborah accepted greater levels of responsibility over the course of her career in the juvenile and adult court systems. She transitioned to a position at the federal building and retired from the United States Attorney\u0027s Office after a 50 year career. She enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn. Deborah managed the Burritt Township Museum and made many friends there. She was very proud of her roots, and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with the community. She was a devoted grandma, who treasured spending time with her grandchildren. Deborah always had a cup of coffee nearby. Survived by children; Chad (Heather Belknap) Norberg, Erin (Terry Peterson) Finch; grandchildren; Alex, Mason, Preston, Haley, Logan; parents, Richard and Dixie Sarver; partner, Michael Wagner; sister, Becky Griffith extended family, Chris (Rebecca) Lawson, Dana Wagner, Ryan Wagner; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; a circle of special friends and beloved pets, Schoco, Cheyenne, Marvin. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Rayme and Irene Sarver and Kenneth and Elizabeth (Bibb) Mitchell.
