Donna O’Brien (Moulaison) 75 passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Hospice House on Sunday September 10th after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. Donna was born on November 7th 1947 and was the daughter of Russell and the late Ann Moulaison. She was born and raised in Melrose MA. From the time Donna was able to speak she always wanted to be a nurse, and in 1968 she graduated from Malden Hospital School of Nursing and made that dream a reality. She started her career at Malden Hospital and was a recovery room nurse. This is where she met the love of her life and soul mate John. It was love at first sight, and on August 7th, 1970, they were married, and continued that love for 53 beautiful years. Over those years they watched their family grow as they welcomed two children Jonathan and Mary Kate and welcomed four grandchildren Liam, Caroline, Peter Jr and Russell. She continued in nursing until she retired from Melrose Wakefield Hospital in 2013 after 45 years of providing the best patient care and invaluable education for the next generation of nurses drawing on her many years of clinical expertise. She is survived by her loving father Russell Moulaison of West Barnstable MA. Her devoted husband John of Wakefield MA, her loving children, Jonathan and wife Caitlin of Stoneham MA, and Mary Kate Frangules and husband Peter of Georgetown MA. Her three adoring grandsons Liam, Peter Jr and Russell. She is also survived by her loving siblings, sister Patricia Waden and husband David of Reading MA, brother Russell Moulaison and wife Catherine of Branford CT, Brother-in-Law Paul O’Brien and brother-in-law Mark O’Brien and his wife Kim all of Wakefield MA. As well as many loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, a large and loving extended family, and many friends. She is predeceased by her devoted and loving mother Ann J Moulaison, her loving sister-in-law Micki O’Brien and her beloved granddaughter Caroline. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday, September 14th from 4-7 pm. Paul C. Ballotta, Jr. , 83, of Stoneham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was at home surrounded by his loving and faithful wife of 59 years and family. Paul, was born to the late Paul C. and Eda (Matteucci) Ballotta, Sr. on July 13, 1940 in Boston, and grew up in Somerville. Paul was a devoted family man, a proud American and Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and jack-of-all-trades. Paul culminated his decades-long career as a mechanic in 2010, dedicating his later working years to the intricacies of power generation. Paul’s willingness to help was unwavering, his generous spirit shining through in his readiness to lend a helping hand in support of others, day or night. Paul’s patriotism was an integral part of his identity, evident in the flags that transformed his home and truck with his American pride and love of country on full display. Paul was happiest when surrounded by his family, working in his garden, or working on his latest home project. Paul was the beloved husband of Arline (Bassette) Ballotta. He was the loving father of Paul C. Ballotta III and his wife Stefanie of Woburn, Nancy Kiklis and her husband Mark of Woburn, Philip Ballotta of Stoneham, Maryann Manzi and her husband Eric of Methuen, and Bill Ballotta and his wife Jenny of Westford. Beloved brother of Irene Ballotta, Rose Gallezzo and her late husband Ralph, and Elizabeth Campbell and her late husband Donald, and the late Philip Ballotta. Beloved brother-in-law of Anna Mae McFadden and her late husband William, Geraldine Botsch and her late husband Donald, the late Mary and Howard Bowdring, and the late Audrey and Charles Williams. Paul was the cherished grandfather of Emily, Sophia, Alex, JJ, Matthew, and John. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. Wolfeboro, NH Donald W. Leavitt, "Don" age 92, of Wolfeboro, NH and formerly of Stoneham, MA. , passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023. Don was born on January 28, 1931, in Winchester, MA to Walter G. Leavitt and Hazel I. (Miller) Leavitt. Don graduated from Stoneham High School in 1948. Worked for his dad in the Insurance Business until 1950 when he entered the U. S. Air Force, spending four years at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. In December of 1954 he was discharged from the Air Force and entered the Insurance industry again. He spent 46 years in the Insurance business and was President of the "Professional Insurance Agents of New England" in 1984-1985. Active in community affairs, he was a member of the Civic Advisory Board of New England Memorial Hospital, past President of the Stoneham Rotary Club, V. P. , and member of the Board of Investment at Stoneham Savings Bank. He was President of W. G. Leavitt and Son, Inc. Agency in Stoneham, MA. and Branch office in Wilmington, MA. He married Vivian M. (Richard) Leavitt in October 1952 and had two sons, Scott, and Mark. He enjoyed square dancing, camping, and boating. Don and Vivian moved to Wolfeboro, NH in 2000 and became a member of the First Christian Church in Wolfeboro, NH. He was a Deacon and served in other capacities. He bought a condo in 1984 and he retired in 2000. He was Past President and for many years served as Treasure for Pine Harbor Condo Assoc. of Wolfeboro, NH. He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Leavitt of Wolfeboro, N. H. His son, Scott Leavitt and wife Joan of Billerica, Mass. ; Son, Mark Leavitt and wife Donna of Wolfeboro, N. H. Don was a loving grandfather to Christopher Leavitt and wife Amanda of Dracut, Mass. Courtney Leavitt and wife Bethany of Billerica, Mass. , Kelly Collopy and husband Nick of Wolfeboro, N. H and John Sullivan of Barrington, N. H. Don was also the BEST Great Grampy to Brayden Leavitt, Olivia, Ella and Ryan Collopy, along with John and Brienne Sullivan. Sharon R. (Hamilton) Dickinson, 70 of Stoneham, MA, peacefully passed away at home after a long illness on Saturday, May 27, 2023, with her family by her side. Born in Winchester and raised in Woburn, Sharon was the loving and cherished daughter of the late Francis R. and Sylvia E. (Elenchuk) Hamilton. After graduating from St. Charles High School in 1971, Sharon began her career at Woburn National Bank. Sharon worked at Woburn National Bank/Citizens Bank for over 25 years, eventually becoming their assistant vice president and credit manager. She continued as a commercial loan underwriter for Citizens Bank in Boston and later was a vice president at TD Bank in Burlington, MA, serving as their Small Business Loan Admin Group Manager until her retirement in 2015. Sharon volunteered at the Museum of Science and was a member of the Woburn Middlesex Lions Club for many years. Sharon enjoyed skiing, hiking, and vacationing in Sedona, AZ, the Grand Canyon and other national parks. Sharon was an outgoing, courageous, and caring wife, mother and friend and will be deeply missed. Sharon is lovingly survived by her husband Robert Dickinson, stepson Ken Dickinson of Hudson, NH, stepdaughter Karen Dickinson of Nashua, NH, her son Michael St. Hilaire, and two sisters Loryane Long of Burlington, MA and Marcia Esquilin, her husband Jose of Hudson, NH. Helen N. (Gallo) Actis, 97, of Stoneham, MA passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Actis with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Helen was born on July, 21, 1925 in Lynn, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Bolino) Gallo. She was the devoted mother of Frannie (and Michael) Tobia of Hampton, NH, and Judy (and William) Schultz of North Reading; the cherished grandmother to Allison (and Steve) MacLellan, Jonathan (and Amanda) Santos, and Andrew (and Rachel) Schultz; the great-grandmother to Clara, Fiona and Amelia MacLellan, and "Jay" Santos. Helen was pre-deceased by her brother Anthony Gallo of Prescott, of AZ, Mary Dmoch of Lynn, and Virginia Gallo of Danvers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School with the class of 1943 and then went on to further her education at Burdett College where she earned her Associates Degree as a secretary. She was quite adventurous as a young lady and always wanted to live in Chicago, so she got a job working for Texaco and lived with other young ladies in a downtown Chicago apartment building. After a few years, she came home, and met her husband, Angelo, at a wedding and waited for him to complete his military obligation before getting married in 1952. Angelo became a fire fighter in Peabody, which is where they raised their family. Helen worked for Sears and Roebuck in the credit department for many years. Her biggest achievement was her dream to publish a children's book, which she succeeded in doing in the late 1980's. Her story of Peety and Patty Ant didn't quite take off like she had hoped, but at least she could say she did it! Marilyn Taylor

Marilyn Taylor, born November 4, 1952 to Mary A. Pacios and William V. Taylor, in Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away March 15, 2023 in Spokane Washington. Marilyn graduated from Humboldt State University, California (now Cal Poly Humboldt), majoring in Mathematics (BA,1983). Marilyn was retired from her work as a systems analyst in the banking industry and had resided in Kennewick, Washington for over 20 years. As a child and teenager, Marilyn's interests were many and varied: art, music, English and math. Marilyn had a Ford Grant to study ballet, (San Diego Ballet Company School and San Francisco Ballet Company School in California). When her public high school refused to let her ballet classes count for California's gym requirement, Marilyn applied for and received a full scholarship from the College Preparatory School, Oakland, California, which did. Marilyn was a national class runner, with a plethora of records; her women's record for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon of 2:45:40 (1984), still stands today. Marilyn qualified for and ran in the historical first Women's Olympic Trials (Olympia, Washington (1984). Her running memorabilia has been donated to the Medford Historical Society in her hometown of Medford, Massachusetts. Marilyn and her beloved horse Tess have participated in events at many horse shows, receiving ribbons in whatever class they entered: showmanship, halter, walk, trot, western and pleasure. Marilyn generously shared use of her registered paint horse Tess with Maggie Elizabeth Little for training and competition in youth events. A vibrant, generous, and loyal friend with a great sense of humor, Marilyn touched the lives of all who knew her. She was active in many organizations: The Kiwanis Club of The Tri-Cities Industries, 40-something Cowgirls, American Paint Horse Association (APHA), Central Washington Pony Club, Franklin County Saddle Club, El Rancho Reata Community Alliance, RECA Foundation/Tri-Cities Free-net, Lucky Horseshoe 4-H Club. Marilyn fostered dogs through Pet Over Population Prevention (POPP) Tri-Cities. Her volunteer activities are too numerous to list, but she could always be counted on whether it be cleaning up after an event or bell-ringing at Christmas time. Marilyn found her haven with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A devoted church member, in addition to her many church activities, Marilyn was the church librarian. Marilyn is survived by her mother Mary A. Pacios, Portland, Oregon; step-father Clifford C. On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Shirley Ann Huegin , beloved friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away at 95 years of age. Born on February 28, 1927, to Carl and Dolores Routley, Shirley's life, from her youngest years, was dedicated to family, faith, country and a love of the arts. Shirley raised two children while serving as an active member of her church for over 40 years as a secretary, parishioner, volunteer and trusted elder. Shirley had a zest for life and cultivating lasting, meaningful bonds with others. Shirley was welcomed into her eternal rest by her parents, siblings, husband Al Huegin , and her great grandson, Joseph Thomas. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Susan Bell; son, Thomas Huegin; her Grandchildren, Daniel Thomas, Darren Thomas, Kerrie Guenther, Scott Huegin and David Huegin; and her Great Grandchildren, Andy Thomas, Brody Thomas, Kadyn Guenther, Kynzie Guenther, Kallie Guenther, Kollins Guenther, Bryan Huegin and Mariah Hurd. Dale Huffaker

On Saturday morning, January 28, 2023 Dale Carlson Huffaker , our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend left his mortal body behind to reside in heaven, joining his parents, Phildon and Florence, brothers Ray and Lee, and sister, Lynne. Dale was blessed to live a full life and especially enjoyed life with his magnetic and loving wife, Johanne. Dale adored Johanne, she was the love of his life, calling her his beloved Josie. Together they soaked in every squeeze, kiss, cruise, trip, karaoke night with friends, and beach sunset they could find. They also loved movies and if they were not on a trip, singing or working, you wouldn't be surprised to find them there. They were blessed to be married for 25 years before he passed peacefully at home, having been surrounded by family, friends, hospice nurses who devoted loving care, and always his soulmate, his Joise. He was eighty-six. Dale was born to Phildon and Florence Huffaker on November 5, 1936, in Ogden Utah and the youngest of three boys. A few years later, the family moved to Ontario Oregon where his baby sister Lynne was born. Dale was adored by his mother, and they carried a special bond throughout life, he also loved being a big brother to his sister, who had down-syndrome, and was protective of her during their time together at home. Music was a big part of his life. Dale loved singing and playing the piano and ukulele. He had a beautiful tenor voice and when he was in high school, he was asked to sing solos and be in quartets, madrigals and the choir. He played the piano and sand with his children while they were young - a fond memory. We remember dad singing all the romantic and upbeat tunes many by Karen Carpenter, Barry Manilow, The Lettermans, the song Windy by The Association, and many Christmas carols. When he moved to Palm Springs, he joined the Palm Springs, Ukulele Group, playing songs with friends and entertaining patients at assisted living centers and other venues with pure enjoyment. Dale served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the North Central State Mission in 1957. He was a strong leader and was called to be an assistant to the mission president, and helped to rewrite the mission plan for that mission. He loved the scriptures and was very well versed in them, easily quoting verses from memory. Dale was proud to be a college graduate and a lawyer. Coming from a farming family, education was the way to a life he wanted and he had great ambitions for himself. Dale graduated with a Bachelors in Business from BYU in 1963. He volunteered for active duty in the army and was in the reserve as a way to accomplish school and serve his country - he did so proudly. He reached his collegiate goal by attending UCLA and becoming a Juris Doctor of Law in 1965. While at BYU, he married Carolee Hickox, his high school sweetheart, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had four children together: Cynthia, Laurany, Stephen Dale , and Richard Lee. Dale worked for the San Bernardino District Attorney's Office for 4 years and was highly praised for his work as a prosecuting attorney. He then joined Delatore, Piazza and Huffaker in Apple Valley in 1969. In 1976, he moved his family to Sandy Utah, desiring to be closer to his father and mother, who were experiencing health issues. After his parents both passed, he moved back to California where he began his own practice and was a trusted lawyer and advisor until he retired in his 80's. He was loved by his clients and paralegal assistants, Sandy and Michele. Dale was best known for his quick-witted humor, smile at the beach, political banter, enjoyment of music and movies, unwavering passion for his country, profound love for Johanne, a spiritual longing - adamant at the end, that he was "born a Mormon and would die a Mormon. " He is survived by his wife Johanne, his children, Cindy (William), Laurany, Steve (Julie), Rick, 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and his brother Phil (Kit). A family celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, in his memory.
