Donna Meduski of Florida, NY entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, September 10. She was 72 years old. Daughter of late Stanley and Gertrude Meduski, she was born on May 24, 1951. A lifelong resident of Florida and Warwick. She was a member of St. Stephen, the First Martyr R. C. Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending every mass she could. An avid online shopper who loved her sweets. She was loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her brother Mark Meduski; two nieces, Meghan and Kelsey Meduski, nephew, Shane Meduski; and great nieces and nephews Kassidy, Aubrey, Bryce, and Jameson. As per her wishes, services will be held privately.

House III, Christin Conklin and husband Scooter; and Robert Curry and fiance Maria; 3 great grandchildren, Ryleigh House; Payton and Kolton Conklin; 2 sisters, Dolores McGloin and Judy Swartz and husband Jim; along with several nieces and nephews. Frances "Fanny" Wanczyk of Florida, NY, a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on Sunday, November 12, 2012. She was 95. The daughter of the late Anton and Caroline Ruszkiewicz, she was born on February 12, 1928 in Warwick, NY. Frances was a member of St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and was often found displaying this at the annual Pulaski Day Parade which is held every October in New York City. She is survived by her son, Vincent and wife Edith of Florida, NY; daughter, Eileen Gibson and husband Daniel of Florida, NY; grandson, Jeremy Gibson and fiance Angie Harty; granddaughter, Jessica Leahy and husband Desmond; 3 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jade and Elaina; sister, Jean Sosler; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Wanczyk; 3 brothers, Frank, Anton and John Ruszkiewicz; 3 sisters, Lucy Sicina, Marie Eisner and Betty Fusille. Gertrude "Gertie" Rutkowski of Florida, NY, a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at home. She was 89. The daughter of the late John Slesinski and Elizabeth Michalowski Slesinski, she was born on July 28, 1934 in Pine Island, NY. Gertie retired from AMSCAN in Chester, NY, where she worked for 17 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY; a member of St. Joseph Church Living Rosary Society; and a member of the Hudson Valley Polonaise Society. She loved her dogs and she enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening and was known for her green thumb. But most of all, she cherished her loving family. Gertie met the love of her life at a local birthday party. They were married at St. Stanislaus Church and settled in Florida, NY. Ray and Gertie were avid polka supporters for many years and were known to travel with their daughters, attending many polka events. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. Zak and husband Tom; daughter, Darlene Fuller (Mike Cosentino); daughter, Melanie Bilancione and husband John; 3 granddaughters, Sara Tkazyik and husband John; Heather Wolfe and husband Kent; and Aimee Bilancione; 4 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Ray Rutkowski; brother, John Slesinski and sister, Adele Kurdyla. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5 from 2-6pm at T. S. MacKenzie Lynn Breen of Florida, NY, left us too soon on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was 30 years old. MacKenzie was born on October 27, 1993 in Warwick, NY, the daughter of Patricia J. Watch and David F. Breen. MacKenzie was the bright light in any room, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went with her glowing smile and contagious laugh. Whether she was working hard plowing fields and harvesting sod on the farm, rebuilding her GMC truck or lovingly nurturing her baby girl, Alice, she proudly put her whole heart and soul into everything she did. MacKenzie found strength and courage in the love of her family. It was everything she had to look forward to and helped her through her journey. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. MacKenzie's memory will live on through the love she shared with family and friends. She was predeceased by her adored grandparents Frank and Bette Breen and grandfather Jim Watch. Janus Allembacher, also known as Janusz Oleszczuk, passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born in Lvov, Ukraine, raised in Gliwice, Poland and studied in Elblag, Poland where he met the love of his life, Marianna Oleszczuk. Janus and his family immigrated to Florida, New York, where he was a longtime resident and a parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Janus was a gifted engineer who earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering in Poland and managed operations for leading manufacturers, including Lummus and Tarkett in New Jersey. He loved machining tools, repairing cars, and tinkering with Hasselblad cameras as hobbies in retirement. He also cherished the peace and privacy of Glenmere Lake in Florida, New York, which was his backyard for over 40 years. Janus is survived by his sons, Gregory Oleszczuk of Florida, New York, and Arthur (Linda) Oleszczuk of Roswell, Georgia, granddaughters, Hailey and Kathryn; and his brothers, Stanislaw and Jerzy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marianna Oleszczuk, and his parents, Wladyslaw Oleszczuk and Hildygarda Allembacher. Janus will be remembered for his vast knowledge of history, patience, kindness, independence and hard work ethic. His independent spirit drove him to escape the bondage of communism and move his family to the United States, a move for which we will forever be grateful.
